I have stayed in New York 3 times now in the last 2 years and Martinique is by far the nicest place we've stayed. Amazing location and service. The rooms are obviously small with it's location but everything was awesome. Room service came in timely every day, and did a great job. Front desk was nice. The food and beverage credit was perfect for breakfast every morning. Would recommend!

I never write Google reviews but given how despicable this first-time experience was, I feel the need to voice out my concerns. We booked a double room and noticed that there were a TON of bugs coming out of the bathroom shower cracks on the floor. The photos attached speaks volume for itself.
Needless to say, we immediately went downstairs to the front desk and showed them the photos and were asked to email the management team with the photos as well. We were then checked into a different room. Same thing happened. It is evident that there is an ongoing issue with infestation of bugs. I encourage folks to double check for such things upon entering your rooms.
Third times the charm. Manager didn't even apologize but did get us a third new room. Had people check it before having us go to the room.
I had high expectation given that this hotel is 4-stars. But other than the convenient location, we will NOT be back next time.

As a frequent visitor to New York City I can say that this last stay at the Martinique has been by far one of my best experiences! The hotel is beautiful, rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean, staff is helpful and friendly and the bellboys are incredible. They even got us a free umbrella for the rainy days. Location is amazing, right in the heart of Manhattan, super walkable and the subway right under the hotel.
Note that as of April, the credit that you get back against your mandatory fee is $15, but in my case my reservation still said $40 and they respected that so I really appreciated it. Use that credit! The coffeeshop is great.
I will definitely make The Martinique my favorite place to stay in NYC. Can’t wait to come back.

I never post negative reviews as I try to stay positive. I booked the room through a third party site and was made aware of the $45 destination scam I mean fee after booking. Sarah at the front desk made me aware of this upon check-in, cool it is what it is take more of my money as if $300 for 1 night wasn’t enough. Then I checked my account today and they took another $31 out for taxes even though I paid for the room in full through the third party site (taxes included). When I spoke to a manager he basically told me to kick rocks and to call the third party site and my bank. He was super unprofessional. Oh and the room smelled musty as was the size of a small closet for $376 dollars. Good ole’ New York.

Great location! Located right inside of the Korea Town with plenty of dining options. Restaurant downstairs offers great (and pricey) drinks! We had a great experience at breakfast and an extremely kind waitress who surprised us with a free cake for our anniversary. The only complaint is that the connecting rooms have low sound proofing and you can hear whoever is beside you.
