We loved our stay this past week. We had 2 connecting rooms with a pool view and it worked perfectly for my family. Thanks Kate for making it happen. Everyone at the front desk was amazing. I received texts each day checking to see if there was anything we needed. Greatest customer service I have received in a long time. The rooms were spacious, clean and the beds very comfy. The water taxi and express passes made it worth the price to stay here. Yes, they are currently under construction on the outside of the building and I was very nervous after reading the negative reviews, but it did not impact our stay. We had pizza at Sal's a couple of nights and it was delicious. The gelato was also yummy. Thanks to your wonderful staff for making our stay great! We would definitely stay here again!

The rooms are dated but they are undergoing renovation. However, the Portofino does not disappoint because although the rooms may be dated they are nice and roomy with comfortable beds. The bathroom is very comfortable in spacing, and provides a nice deep tub for soaking. The best part of my stay which I thought I was going to miss due to the renovations was the balcony opera singing...well they bought it inside the hotel lobby and when I tell you it was absolutely wonderful...such beautiful voices of the male/female duo. There really is not a bad thing that you could say about this hotel even with the renovations going as the courtyard, and pools were in pristine condition. My family, and I had a wonderful stay!!!

Wander And Travel
Wow, such a wonderful resort to stay at. The staff is very helpful and cheerful. The rooms are clean and spacious. The views from the rooms are incredible. We booked the club access level room with the upgraded pass to Universal Studios and it was well worth the price. The water taxi takes you direct to the City Walk so getting between the hotel and the parks is a breeze. There are eateries and coffee shop nearby so that's always a plus. In the evenings, sitting outside near the water was very serene and relaxing. I recommend you give this place a try. It's not the cheapest, but it's well worth the price.

The front desk staff were all very welcoming and professional from check-in and on. Attentive housekeeping staff. Outstanding club lounge staff, capacity, quality and variety of food/beverages, pleasant atmosphere that made the amenity feel special. The bell staff and valet were so energetic and committed to excellent customer service...had a lot of pep in their step and hustled to make sure we were cared for. No one ever left us standing without checking to make sure we didn't need something. Great team!! The text messaging with guest services was an outstanding feature; very quick responses.

We had an amazing trip! The front desk staff was super friendly. The room was amazing. We upgraded to the minion suite with extra kids room and my kids loved it. The hotel was under renovation but it didn’t affect our stay at all! Nykia at the Destination Universal desk was absolutely amazing and super helpful. The water taxi to Universal was easy and fast. Also want to give a shout out to security for finding my daughter’s phone and to the bellmen for being so helpful and kind. All guest interactions were on point. We will definitely be back!
