Our 6-night stay was fabulous. The hotel is located close to beach, shopping and restaurants and bars. The amenities within the hotel were great, from the pool bar to the coffee shop. The breakfast was amazing and a very high standard of food. We ate at the barbecue one evening and it was so delicious. Loved the pool, massages and rooms were very comfortable.

We regretfully spent 8 nights here, and I do not recommend this hotel at all. We arrived after midnight due to a flight delay, and when we got to our room, the strong stench of mould was overwhelming. We were in a pool access room. We phoned reception who said they would send housekeeping. Housekeeping arrived and took out the humidifier and oil burner (not what we had asked for at all). A further call to reception and they advised that they would sort another room but we would have to wait half an hour. About 20 minutes later they called back advising that we would have to wait until tomorrow. We were exhausted by this point and just wanted to sleep. I went all the way back up to reception and told them that we couldn't sleep in the room because it was filthy and smelt so strongly of mould. They then agreed to move us. We were relocated for two nights before being advised we had to move back to the pool access room that they had cleaned. Again, dirty room, not cleaned properly, the worst sewerage smell coming from the bathrooms and the stench of mould filling the room. We had to put a damp towel over the drains and sit the bin on it to try and stop the smell of sewerage - it was vile. The humidity in the rooms is insane and everything gets damp. We were less than impressed. The bed was also rock hard and hurt our backs. Breakfast is not pleasant. The food is very average. Do not waste your money on the dinner buffets either. We did the seafood night and the bbq night and both were extreme letdowns. The food was gross and the meat is out in the heat for hours, raising concerns about food safety. The pools are meant to be closed from 7pm, yet there were people drinking in the pools and yelling and talking at the top of their lungs at midnight most nights, and no one stopped this. The hotel location is right opposite Otop Markets and a short walk to the beach and Bangla Road - the only good thing we could say about the hotel. The hotel grounds are well maintained, but that's about it. Most of the staff were friendly. A special shoutout to Jasmine for her kind hospitality. Overall, don't waste your money here! There are much better places to stay.

Damp in all rooms! STAY AWAY from this hotel! Our anticipation for a luxurious 5-star experience at this hotel was met with disappointment. Despite booking a standard room, we were greeted by a pervasive smell of dampness upon arrival, accompanied by consistently wet floors and bed sheets throughout our 6-night stay. Despite bringing the issue to the attention of hotel staff, the offered solutions were inadequate, indicating a systemic problem with dampness in the establishment. Even after being relocated to another room, the same issues persisted. Additionally, the service we received was subpar, with management displaying a lack of urgency in addressing our concerns about obtaining a refund to seek accommodation elsewhere. The offered £150 refund was a mere fraction of the amount we had paid for our stay, leaving us feeling undervalued and dissatisfied with our experience. Overall, this was one of the most disappointing and frustrating hotel stays we've ever experienced.

A great hotel in Patong. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The staff helped us with any enquiries we had and assisted us with booking tours in Phuket. The breakfast buffet was amazing with a wide variety of options to accomodate different tastes. The location of the hotel is excellent as it is close to Jungceylon shopping centre, the beach and restaurants. The room was very good overall. The only slight disappointment with the room was the main floor outside the bathroom would often get wet. The swimming pool was also excellent and it was handy having the pool located near the restaurant. Overall, this hotel combines great facilities and service with an impressive location. I would highly recommend Grand Mercure Phuket Patong to anyone looking to stay in Phuket.

Location looks better in pictures. Great customer service, staff very friendly and helpful. Location is good not too far from fresh food night market. Also quite local to most places. The room was a bit of a let down, I would personally suggest going with the upgraded room with pool access. These rooms looked better. Our room was comfortable but just looked worn down (normal wear and tear). Food and entertainment excellent.
