I'd hoped for a much better experience given the price. Got very little sleep due to the high temperature set for the building. Even with the AC in my room, it stayed too warm. Opening the patio door allowed in outside noise. Quantity rather than quality was served on the breakfast buffet. Hosts should've asked guests for their table preference. Both their restaurant & in-room coffee were awful. The concierge knew amazingly little & much of what he shared was incorrect. The elevator situation was sad given the size of the hotel. Of the 3, 1 was out of service for my entire 4 nite stay. So many of us ended up using the stairs as it was faster. The building is at the bottom of a steep hill. So there are many stairs & then there's more uphill to the main street. Much of the staff is international & has varying levels of English. Communication with many of them was challenging. On checkout, I shared my disappointment. He said I should've mentioned concerns earlier. I told him that I had. His remark was rude and unprofessional. The wait staff and housekeeping were very good. I appreciated the in-room phones, comfortable bed & view. Changed hotels to get sleep & save money.

Beautiful hotel with great facilities.2 pools . Service impeccable.Constantly cleaning your rooms. Food in hotel a little bit pricey. We had breakfast every day which was amazing a wide choice of hot and cold options. Smoked salmon on tap.

Great hotel, lovely staff and breakfast. Beautiful island. Only problem was that they don't tell you there are 88 steps up to leave the hotel. There is a shuttle bus but only at 10am and 6pm. I recently had a hip replacement and it was challenging. It should be mentioned especially for the not so young as they may find it difficult . For that reason we won't t return, lovely as it was.

The hotel has a great location. The views of the bay are breathtaking. Very luxurious and very well maintained. They have hospitable, kind and responsive staff. The room was spacious, carefully arranged and with a large terrace. They have several indoor restaurants that are open even in the off-season and they always have visitors. Excellent organization in serving breakfast. A wonderful warm indoor pool with very long working hours, in which you can relax after a long walk in the capital. Magnificent garden like a palace.

EJ
Amazing hotel, very good location next to the river and near the Upper Barakka gardens. Staff were very good, efficient and super friendly. Rooms are spacious, breakfast was great and the swimming pool and spa facilities were good as well. The manager came to our breakfast table and asked our reason for visiting Malta. When we told her it was our anniversary she arranged for a chocolate cake to be sent to our room! She remembered our room number which was very thoughtful of her. Highly recommended!
