Let's face it, you're here for the pool, and oh what a pool it is. It's easily the best layout and vibe of any swimming hole downtown, (sorry to the Circa's overrated stadium swim.) Even at it's most crowded, there was plenty of room to lay out and swim out, and the line for the slide was never too long. I do recommend getting there early to snag a lounger, but you can always rent one if you need to sleep off a hangover. Playing blackjack in swim shorts is another neat bonus.
I have heard and read a lot of complaints in recent years about room deterioration and customer service mishaps. Luckily my wife and I experienced none of this during our stay. They were insanely busy but our check in associate was kind, helpful and speedy. Indeed every employee we encountered from the pool deck to the casino floor were all smiles and ready to help in any way they could. We were upgraded away from the "dreaded" Carson Tower into the Rush Tower, and our room was top notch.
The hotel while showing it's age is still beautiful and a joy to visit. The rooms and restaurants are priced a bit high compared to most of the downtown area, but we just added that to the value of included pool admittance. All the normal downtown complaints are present, including booming bass present in your room into the wee hours of the morning. This however comes with the territory of staying on Fremont and is of no fault to the hotel. Your experience may vary, but we immensely enjoyed our stay, and already can't wait to slide our way into the shark tank next visit.

My recent stay at the Golden Nugget in Las Vegas was nothing short of phenomenal! From the moment I stepped into the vibrant atmosphere of the casino, I knew I was in for an unforgettable experience. The poker room at the Golden Nugget is a true gem, offering a diverse range of games and tournaments to suit players of all skill levels. The staff were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable, ensuring that every aspect of my poker experience was top-notch. The dealers were professional and friendly, creating a lively and enjoyable atmosphere at the tables. Whether I was playing cash games or joining in on one of the tournaments, there was never a dull moment. The amenities at the Golden Nugget were also fantastic. The hotel room was spacious and luxurious, providing the perfect retreat after a long day of playing poker. I particularly enjoyed the variety of dining options available on-site, with everything from casual bites to fine dining experiences.Overall, my time at the Golden Nugget exceeded all expectations. If you're looking for a poker paradise in the heart of Las Vegas, look no further than the Golden Nugget. I can't wait to return for another round of thrilling poker action!

I stayed in their best room, a 2 bedroom suite in the spa tower. Room 10-G. When I first went to go up to the room, one of the two elevators was broken. So it was a 5-10 minute wait for the elevator. Minimum. One of the nights there was some event going on in the spa tower so I had to wait 30-45 minutes just to get up to my room. There was broken furniture in the room. The electric drapes didn’t work. The floor smelled like cigarette smoke. Room service never answered. The bell man who handled the luggage was rude. And lastly, I witnessed a sexual assault on the casino floor. Security nowhere to be found.
Additionally, I went to dinner with a large party at the steak house, Vic and Anthony’s. We spent $3000 on dinner. Our party included someone in a wheelchair. They were pushy when it came to inquiring about this persons ability to climb up a stairs. This person has terminal cancer. I ordered a bottle of 2008 Cristal. They didn’t have it, but that didn’t stop them from trying to pass off another years vintage. Luckily I caught it. The food was good though.
Spend your money elsewhere. I’m certain the service and amenities are better.

Nice stay. Was only here one night and had no issues w check in or out. Stayed in the Carson Tower. Room was clean and spacious. Tub was slow to drain but overall stay was excellent. Casino has great options for tables and slots.

Great spot off the strip in old downtown Vegas. The rooms feel very nice and clean. The shark pool is pretty great. Lots of options room wise with a bunch of different towers. There wasn't an extra blanket in the room when we got here but housekeeping took care of that with one call.
