My family and I have been to this resort 3 times and are currently looking into coming a fourth time! The resort is about 45-60 minutes from the airport but it is so worth it! The ocean is clean and beautiful as is the resort itself. The food at the buffets and at the restaurants are both amazing. We absolutely love the infinity pool because it’s never crowded even though there are so many people in it you’ll always have a good amount of space to yourself. There isn’t very much going on in the evenings as far as entertainment goes besides a few shows. The nice thing about staying at this specific resort is that you can go to the surrounding resorts and eat at their restaurants as part of the all inclusive package whereas I believe you have to pay an additional fee if you are at one of the other resorts wanting to do the same thing. The rooms are very clean and we’ve never had any issues! The drinks are also great at the bars considering you get top shelf liquor at this resort! All in all it’s a great place for relaxation and good service. We can’t wait to come back!

Erik Valenzuela and Pedro were the best servers at the buffet. We would walk in and he would call us right over and find us a table. On our last night we had already eaten but my kids wanted to go back to the buffet just to say good bye. Some of the best service I’ve received!

Just spent a week at the Barcelo Maya Palace with my family and the whole trip was amazing. We were upgraded to premium upon arrival which was a pleasant surprise. The food was really good, lots of options so I had no trouble finding at least a couple of things each day that peaked my interest. The palace is very well maintained; the rooms are clean and the landscape is pristine. For those who aren’t travelling with kids, the adults only pool is a must. It’s super quiet and tranquil, with little to no music and water fountains. The best thing about the trip was definitely the staff. Everyone at the buffet and in the premium lounge was exceptionally kind. We had Marcelo as our server on our second to last night at the Hacienda buffet and he was beyond sweet! He even took the time to decorate our coffees with a little bunny:) overall an amazing trip we’ve been as a family well over 10 times and plan to come back again in September!

Great Experience at Barcelo Maya Palace Buffet
We had a wonderful time at the Barcelo Maya Palace buffet, thanks to our server, Mauricio Gomez. He was very attentive and managed our large group smoothly. Mauricio made our visit special by surprising our senior guests with some fruit they had wanted but wasn't available at the buffet that day.
The variety of food at the buffet was great, with lots of fresh and tasty options. Everything was nicely prepared and looked appealing. We really enjoyed our meal and Mauricio's thoughtful service made our experience even better. This buffet is definitely worth a visit!

We ate at Rodizio Restaurant and we had the privilege of being served by Emmanuel and Luis. Amazing service, very attentive, very polite and very friendly!!!! Loved it!! We also asked if we could finish our meals with Brazilian coffee and Emmanuel did a FANTASTIC job!!! So good. What a great experience! Highly recommend and I hope you also have the pleasure of being served by Emmanuel and Luis!! 😁👍
