We have had the best stay. We stayed 24 nights and the hotel and service has been excellent. Our room was beautiful and spacious with a huge balcony. In a great location close to the beach and all the action we will defiantly be back. Having a small kitchenette was perfect for quick bites and it was a treat having our room cleaned perfectly every day. A huge thanks to Christina who made sure our stay was perfect! Cheers!!

We had a wonderful stay here. The rooms were clean and the beds were so comfortable. I really liked the layout and the room had everything I needed. The waterfall shower was also a real treat. The Included breakfast was also fine, but could be little repative after a few days. The food was of good quality though. The staff were always friendly. For me though the best feature of this hotel is the rooftop pool. Great views over the city, nice drinks, good food and friendly staff. Finally a special mention to Christina, she made us feel so welcome. Christina helped us with information and gave lots of good information. She was so attentive and took time to talk with us and make us feel important. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This place is not bad. Good bang for your buck. However we were arriving late the next day. And I tried calling the front desk like 10 times and no one would pick up. They never answer the phone. I even tried calling from the room itself and once again they don’t pick up. One day our key didn’t work. Next day the battery was dead so we couldn’t get into our room. There are phones in the hallway to call front desk. Once again they do not answer the phone. So we had to walk all the way to the front desk. Breakfast was pretty good. No meat options though. The pool area is kind of a joke. The cushions are disgusting and moldy. How do they not wash them. They were out of towels one day and took 30 mins+ to come back. Every time we sat around the pool they never asked us if we wanted anything. We would always have to go to the bar. I would stay again at the price I paid. But I feel bad for people expecting luxury service if they paid a lot.

We were so excited for our stay here since it’s a Curio Hilton, but it was very disappointing. I mean don’t expect much from anything staying here, as all the reviews are from people with day passes and the staff request 5 star reviews (they probably get something from reviews that have their name mentioned). The pool is nice but nothing like the pictures, the nice beds are set in the best views for people to rent (like what?). When you check in they give you coupons with free drinks at the hotel lobby bar and the rooftop bar. As soon as I get to the rooftop I ask if sitting down pool chair would be same menu as Lola and they say yes we stay there all day spend $300 in drinks when finally went to pay we wanted to use our coupons and staff didn’t let us they wanted to argue and were just so rude I never seem anything like that before. The girl next to us also tried to use her coupon and another staff argument. Just so weird the whole situation felt really guetto. Next day breakfast our “server” didn’t come to our table at all didn’t offer coffee juice we had to keep on asking and stopping servers. Breakfast is the same every day, don’t expect much. Well room is large and clean and also they have a good location so if you are getting a the good price is worth to stay just to sleep. Oh yeah another incident I had was that I couldn’t find my key so went to front desk to request a new one, Ernesto was so rude treat me like a child saying it’s my responsibility to not lose the key and next time I was going to be charged. With all that said I wouldn’t recommend anyone to stay here.

I came here for my birthday and could not be happier! I loved everything about this hotel. Our room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, and it had everything we could possivly want for our stay. The hotel is close to the beach and surrounded by plenty of options for activities, food, and nightlife. The pool and views are unbeatable and the delicious food and drink options made it so easy to spend all day on the rooftop enjoying the beautiful weather. The staff was friendly and attentive especially Lazaro, our waiter at the pool and Javier, the bartender in the downstairs bar. Christina was everywhere making sure we and the other guests were happy and had everything we needed for our stay. We really enjoyed the breakfast buffet, it was perfect for our needs. I will absolutely be back and would highly recommend the Fives to anyone visiting Playa del Carmen.
