We just returned from a wonderful stay at Sandos Playacar. This is our third trip to the resort and we continue to be impressed by the overall experience. We felt welcomed the second we entered the lobby and were so glad to be back! Overall, the resort is even better than the last time we visited. Yes, the rooms could use a bit of a refresh, but they are very clean with extremely comfortable beds, the grounds are lush and immaculate, and the beach and turquoise ocean is spectacular. The restaurants were delicious and the buffet continues to have a wonderful variety and impressive food quality. The staff work diligently to ensure that you enjoy every minute of your stay and are friendly and courteous. From the customer service staff, to the bartenders, restaurant staff, entertainers, and grounds crew, they work so hard to make you feel special and to make sure you get your money’s worth. We visited during spring break time but did not have any trouble with overcrowding or feeling like the resort was too busy. This is an excellent resort for people of all ages and is a perfect place for families to enjoy Playa del Carmen with the added security of being in the Playacar area. If you’re looking for a safe, clean, beautiful resort with excellent food, great amenities, a wide variety of wildlife (including monkeys!), and the most beautiful ocean and white sand beaches you’ve ever seen, this is the place for you!

The kids club is awesome! The staff was great with our rowdy little boys. Our 4 year old is a handful!!!! They were patient and kind. We always felt that our children were safe and very well cared for. 5 stars. We will come back to this resort based on the kids club staff alone!!!! Having your children safe and well cared for is the most important thing.

Huge resort with a huge beach. Some parts are dated and some are new. We stayed in 2 different areas and liked both. Food options were amazing and food was pretty good. Service was wonderful at all the restaurants and bars. My only complaint was that there was no pool or beach service. I'm not used to that but managed just fine.

Great resort and great entertainment team they work hard to get all the guests involved polite. Had the opportunity to have a good chat with Carlos , gave us some Mexican culture and very friendly. Four sisters in our group never short of entertainment. Kudos to the great entertainment and service. Would recommend this resort hands down

Stayed at Sando’s for a week and it was great! Staff was friendly and accommodating with any questions we have! During our stay we encountered Ana one of the entertainment worker at the resort and she was awesome! Ana had us engaging with pool side games that we enjoyed. Ana was great at conversations too! she communicated with us and joke around with my group! overall our stay was great! Will definitely be back
