Yikes. Avoid this one. The worst hotel I stayed at in Sri Lanka. The resort itself is very tired and in desperate need of a refresh. If you want to travel back to the 80s this is your place. Some of the staff were lovely and helpful, however some were not, it was a real mixed bag. The reception was not very welcoming or smooth & they would not help me arrange a taxi when I left. The doorman and cleaning staff were great but the staff behind reception has a very strange attitude and came across as arrogant and unhelpful. My room was very dark and dingy and it backed out into the railway line so I was woken up multiple times as passing trains screeched past and shook the whole room. Not an ideal experience. The breakfast was a very sad affair - everything tasted old and stale and I barely ate any of it. Most of the staff stood around looking bored and depressed. The hotel had a package holiday vibe and there were lots of elderly Russian couples there. Finally the hotel is advertised as having a beach however it was washed away recently and there is now only sea defences. Overall very depressing experience thankfully I only stayed one night but if you want to visit this area I would give this one a miss.

Beautiful hotel with amazing staff!!! I went there with my sister and her family to celebrate her birthday…. They made her day extra special! The food was great too…I only stayed there for one night. I wish I could’ve stayed longer. The only disappointment was that there was no beach that we could walk on , directly from the hotel, although it’s right next to the ocean. Other than that, it was a great experience!

A good hotel located near the western beach. It is a 5 star hotel with good, supportive staff. A very calm and spacious environment is there. A very long swimming pool is there with a baby pool. They have arranged a lot of activities for children as well as adults, including foot ball, volleyball, badminton etc. They are doing several activities on selected every week day such as yoga sessions, etc. Rooms are spacious and clean, and those are located around the pool. Up rooms are faced towards the beach. Foods are good and lot of variation are there. You can spend a good holiday there with them

Only been here two days but so far great! Afraid I will leave here so huge as the food is amazing, the all inclusive drinks have a menu so just stick to it and you will be fine. Rooms are very spacious and clean, pool bar is fun, towel guys great. Check out the tuk tuk tours in reception, very reasonable. Pool is like a bath in the afternoon but if you head to the deep end and bubble pool you can get cooler. Came with Mercury and he got us a great deal on the tours we wanted and cheaper than outside. I will update if anything changes but really great place. Oh it got worse! The food just continues to go downhill, they apologise and say they will do better but if you eat meat better to become vegan then you will survive because it runs out consistently! I would say the food is great for Russians but not for westerners!

Went with two families and our elderly mums for two nights, 11th to 13th April. The service by all sections of the hotel were excellent. Anton and the other Bell boys helped with the wheel chairs for the two old ladies. Dinali at the reception was very helpful with the check-in. The meals were excellent. The restaurant staff from the trainees to the senior staff were very attentive and service was very very good. Rarely see in other 5 star hotels. The pool was clean and great. It is unfortunate that the hotel does not have any beach front due to sea erosion.
