I went to this resort for my birthday weekend. The resort is beautiful, the staff were very nice & welcoming. I was giving two butlers, Trinidad & Peter and they made sure i had the very best birthday & very best time. I was gifted two cakes and 4 bottles of wine. We did have an incident with a creepy crawler but they came and fumigated the room for me. The food was okay pretty bland to be honest the best restaurant was the Indian restaurant i’ll give it an 8/10. The food by the pool was pretty good i recommend the octopus & the steak. The location is pretty but super far from everything almost an hour so if you are booking excursions you will
most likely have to go another hotel to get picked up or pay around 120 round trip to get back and forth. When booking the airport round trip download the nexus app if you don’t they will give you a very difficult time and book transportation 24 hours ahead or you will have to pay basically 100 to get from the hotel to the airport

I recently had my wedding hosted at this hotel, and I must say it was a complete disappointment. From the lack of response to emails to the misinformation provided during correspondence, the experience was far from satisfactory.
During the rehearsal, we noticed that the chairs for the wedding were dirty, which was a major letdown. Despite booking a room with two beds, the staff had the irrational expectation that two men sharing a bed was ideal. This lack of attention to detail and customer preferences was unacceptable.
Furthermore, the hotel staff could not make adjustments to guest reservations during certain hours, which caused inconvenience and frustration. The room service food was of poor quality and left much to be desired.
To make matters worse, when we raised our concerns, the wedding planners offered a mere apology without any real accommodation or effort to rectify the situation. It was evident that our feedback was not taken seriously.
What was particularly troubling was the observation that at least five individuals of color were also experiencing issues and complaints during our stay. This raises serious concerns about the hotel's treatment of guests from diverse backgrounds.
Jamal In Canada seemingly purposely screwed up details for the wedding. The bride was still going through invoices the day before her wedding when correspondence was sent over half a year ago.
The management, was none responsive in the corporate Office.
Some of the staff seem to be incompetent or nonchalant. Service personnel gave us information that was untrue multiple times.
In conclusion, I strongly advise against choosing this hotel for any event or stay. Save yourself the headache and disappointment. I will never consider returning to this establishment.

Restaurant reservations can be a challenge, TIP: you need to book via the app right at MIDNIGHT to guarantee a reservation, but if you do, you’ll have no issues.
We were there spring break week and it didn’t seem I’m overcrowded or crazy busy.
We stayed in swim out room at the Adult scene. Zero complaints!!
Yes, people get up as early as 6am to reserve pool seats. Deal with it…..sleep in and don’t complain or be an early bird if you want your choice!
NOTE: you are far North of any ‘excursion’ type of activities. If you like excursions, don’t stay here or plan to be on a bus 1/2 a day to do anything!!!

We stayed for 3 nights in a Director 2 bedroom (which is actually 2 rooms next to each other, NOT two connected rooms. However, rooms were clean and everything was functional, and elevator was never busy.
I will agree with other reviews that for the most part, if you’re not waving a tip, you’re not getting any service. HOWEVER, if you do, it’s the best service! So choose your path!
I had an excellent massage in the spa with Guadalupe! Best deep tissue massage. They also have a unique hydrotherapy that an attendant walks you through with quite a few different steps to it, and I really enjoyed it!
The location was terrible for our family because it was an hour from anything. We like to go walk around town and it was too far to do that, so we were stuck there.
The dinner reservations were a joke. Nearly impossible to get (we were never able to get a time and restaurant that we wanted) so we were stuck with the buffet, which was incredibly bland. However, we did have a great waiter named Mario that was hilarious and made the night better! The burger place for lunch was good and the kids enjoyed being able to get ice cream whenever they wanted.
We had booked transportation for the airport to the hotel through the PH website and it never showed, and in talking with several people at the hotel (after being on the phone too), nobody would do anything or help us. Not at all. So we were just out there money and had to pay for a separate ride to get to the hotel. Absurd.
Power went out while we were there and it took forever to get someone to come fix it (it wasn’t all rooms). My husband went down to the front desk to find someone and had me call to the front desk- phone rang and the front desk was just ignoring it. Same with concierge and operator.
We did have greet help from a concierge named Ricky who helped with an excursion reservation.
All in all I would never stay here again but my kids said they would, so we won’t be back as a family!

Disappointed with housekeeping. Cleaning was minimal. Doesn’t really clean anything, doesn’t change sheets (even when we asked them to!) or restock mini fridge everyday. We also tried calling housekeeping many times as well as the front desk and no one answered. I was called by guest services to give my review and they did seem to step things up after I expressed that I’d wasn’t happy with everything.
I’d highly suggest getting a dehumidifier. It was always getting filled up and we had to keep emptying water.
We walked to the front desk & requested to have our TV fixed many times, they kept saying someone was going to show up to fix it. That person took many days to show up.
Beach and pool are nice! Entertainment is pretty good. It’s lively at night with the shows and the club was fun!!
Food is alright. Kinda hard to get dinner reservations. Had a rock in my omelet one morning. Dinner took forever for us at the Italian restaurant. The second night at the steak house was great. I would say the food had its ups and down but I did have some very good meals.
The serving staff is working very hard to provide good service. There must be something lacking in the management department. Seems that don’t have enough staff to keep up with demand.
Don’t get me wrong, we still had a wonderful time! I loved laying at the pool, beach, and enjoyed my nights as well. But overall I would not come to this resort again as they couldn’t keep up with some basic requests. I felt I had to tip before basic service was even given. This resort is also a bit spread out for me. I wish the buffet was closer to the beach and pool area. I feel there are better resorts.
