Super comfort hotel. Stuff friendly, delicious food, very beautiful area with amazing tropical garden, big swimming pool, amazing view on ocean and sunset ❤️ also very comfortable and clean room with amazing view (we had side see view). Free parking. Shops and car rent nearby. Air area controlled by falcon against pigeons. Good walk way to big rock/volcano sand beach, with natural waves. We are lucky that we stayed in this hotel, we have fantastic memories now 👍👍👍 Only issue, that hotel is Half Board, that means that drinking water and coffee not included during day and evening, but included during Breakfast. However You can buy water in the hotel shop, during the day, and in restaurant during Dinner, it is fine.

It is important to say that this is not a 5 stars Hotel. The hotel is dated, and even the breakfast and dinner buffet are not 5 stars. - and that was disappointing.
However, the staff is 7 stars, to say the least. Hence, my 5 stars review.
They are all, really all, working nonstop to make sure your stay is perfect. Whatever you need, they will make it happen, and they will do it with the most friendly smile. For the staff that is incredible, the overall review is a solid 5 stars.
And a special thank you to the gentleman at the reception that at 2 in the morning when we arrived, almost had a heart attack thinking our son did not have a bed. 🙂
Not only did he have a bed, but we also had food waiting in the bedroom just in case we needed a snack. With all my heart! Thank you!

Just back from a superb week in this wonderful hotel. Everything was perfect. Room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. Food was plentiful and great choice. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent all round. We were a little disappointed, we were only able to book a specialist restaurant on one night, but will know another time to book as soon as we arrive. Yes we do mean to go again. Well-done all concerned.

The hotel itself is stunning, with luxurious amenities and a welcoming atmosphere. However, what truly sets this hotel apart is the exceptional customer service personally provided to my family by Catarina. Her warmth, professionalism, and human attention, not just treated like a customer but a person, has consistently made my stays memorable. Always a warm smile to share! Whether it's ensuring that my accommodations are perfect or providing valuable recommendations for local attractions, Catarina's dedication to exceptional service is truly commendable. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone seeking a delightful and memorable experience, ty for making Madeira extra wonderful Catarina!

Stayed here for a week from 16-23 March. Lovely big room with shaded balcony, fridge and kettle, smelled very musty which persisted if we'd been out all day as the air con only works with your room card inserted. Beautiful grounds and pools and entertainment every evening. Service was pretty good and helpful too. The hotel is situated quite a way from the centre of Funchal, at least 45 mins -1hours walk, though there is a bus stop 5 minutes away. Food was OK. Breakfast excellent but dinner a bit mixed, not very hot and some odd pairings eg Moroccan stew but no couscous, pasta but no garlic bread. Lots of nice fish and salads and lovely puddings tho. No wine list either - just red, white or rose house wine and charged for essentially tap water with service added, which was a bit much.
