Our stay at MAYIA EXCLUSIVE RESORT & SPA was fantastic overall. The staff were exceptionally helpful, and the facilities were excellent. However, during the opening week of the hotel, we encountered some limitations. We were informed that room service was unavailable, although the hotel prepared a complementary welcome meal for late arrivals. Additionally, the snack bar menu was partially unavailable. Despite these inconveniences, the hotel remains 5-star in our eyes, and we fully enjoyed our stay. The breathtaking views of Lindos and the gorgeous facilities made for an unforgettable experience. The restaurants on the resort also added to our enjoyment. Wasabi (Asian Restaurant) was absolutely delicious with wonderful views of the hotel. The Italian restaurant was also very nice; the food tasted very authentic! However, be mindful that this restaurant is situated outdoors. The tennis court is a great addition to the complex, offering guests an enjoyable recreational activity. However, the lack of food labeling at the buffet posed a serious problem for my partner, who has a nut allergy, leading to an unexpected €170 expense for medical treatment. The breakdown of the cost is as follows: €150 for the doctor being called out and writing a prescription, and €20 for the delivery of the prescription. Hopefully, this can be claimed back through my partner's travel insurance. Once brought to the staff's attention, they were incredibly helpful and responsive. We hope the hotel considers improving their food labeling to prevent similar incidents in the future.

Great rooms and views, but they are let down by poor food and operational issues. Pros: - Great view from the room - Private and public pools are both clean. There are enough sunbeds so that you don’t have to fight for them either - live music at the bar every night - Friendly staff Cons: - the food in the buffet is sub-par at best. Some of the breakfast dishes were good, but the chicken at dinner was almost always dry and the hummus was stale (you could literally see it had dried out layer on the top). Seriously, who expects to have such bad quality hummus in Greece? - The food at the Greek restaurant was slightly better (especially the mushroom dish), but the chicken was still so overdone it was hard to eat. - They make it hard to book the restaurants as well. In the 4 days we were there, we were only able to book the Greek restaurant and only once. But when we went there, only about half the tables were occupied. They seem to clearly be pushing most people to eat at the buffet to cut costs, but they push the a la carte restaurants in their marketing so you go in expecting a much higher quality of dining. - When checking out, they said we have a 7 euro charge for an extra beer at the pool bar, when we didn’t have any beers at all during the trip. They just note down your room number without verifying anything when you place an order, so anyone can order a drink with your room number and leave you with the bill. We were lucky it was a small charge and not something in the 100s of euros, but why would you run a hotel with such gross levels of negligence? It’s a hotel that has prioritised the perfect insta aesthetic but they just don’t know how to get the basics of running a 5 star hotel right. Would not come back even if it was 50% cheaper

2nd Time visiting the Mayai in the same week as last year. The staff are truly amazing, they always make you feel welcome. Fast check in, canapé and drink on arrival, everything explained. The room was lovely with a panoramic sea view, was very clean and fridge topped up generously. Room 1237. Breakfast Buffet is very good, lots of choice and the food is delicious. In the buffet, the staff on the first couple of days were very slow and sometimes we didnt get our drink but we raised this with the manager and she apologised explaining they're new staff and new systems wasn't functioning correctly. Also the buffet food on the first couple of nights wasn't as good as we remembered it the year before as a lot of people had said in the group chat on Facebook. However, the next day after this there was the manager and the owner walking around checking in the buffet making sure its OK, also I think they brought on some more chefs to help out. The variety definitely improved and the buffet was amazing after the first couple of days back to how we remember it and the service was fast. It's good to see how quickly the hotel responded to criticism. As well as this there was one day where the chefs were all lined up in reception with the managers and the owner to show they were keen to get it sorted which they did. Me and my girlfriend wouldn't of recommended the buffet over the a la cartes on the first days but after we agreed we wouldn't mind missing a meal to go to the buffet. The Italian is a very nice place to have your meal either day or night, the dishes are prepared well and fast. The staff in the italian are probably the best for getting a drink, you finish it, it is topped up immediately. The manager is a very nice young man there too. The Greek, we weren't too excited about going to the greek as its not our favourite food, however we were very wrong. I would say it was the best food we had and was presented very nicely. The manager there is a lovely lady who worked at the Italian last year, We thought we had booked the greek for dinner but when we got there we hadn't but she still let us eat with no rush. The Asian is just how we remember it the food is always delicious there and the service. Lovely view over the entire resort. You can also enjoy a champagne before and after the meal with a pianist playing. But we do miss the waiter who used to dance when he brought your food haha. The pool area is very clean and there is always a sun bed to sit on which are comfortable. The life guard is extremely kind and always talks to you. There is also a waiter by each pool which come and take your drinks all day, amazing. There is also a food corner at the pool where they serve buffet food which was very nice and had a decent selection. The street food has a good selection of food, healthy options, burgers, paninis, fries, cakes, crepes much more too. You can also get similar food on the beach. By far my favoruite part of the holiday is the lads at the pool bar. Renato, Marcel, luigi, giannis, Ricardo, Tom. They work so hard everyday none stop from start to finish. They're very fast and make amazing drinks. I would come back just to see these. They make a effort to talk to everyone and have a laugh. They're skilled in what they do and care about there job. They always have a smile on there face and cheer you up. Even when there was 100 people at the pool bar with the entertainment didn't wait over 2 minuted for a drink they're extremely efficient. Really are all great guys and I hope they all stay for when we come back. If you don't see a drink you like which there is a massive selection but they will make you anything. I think these guys are a team who have a special bond like family and you cannot fault them. The hotel itself is a work of art you won't see a more beautiful hotel. It's very spacious and they haven't cut corners anywhere the architecture is incredible. All the front of house staff are very welcoming and work very hard, any corners you have they will answer your questions and always listen.

We stayed on the hotels opening week of the season, so it is normal to expect some small issues! Without a doubt the most valued thing about the resort is the staff. George, Valantis, Renato, Yannis, Luigi, Marcel, Wilson and many others always make you feel welcome and cannot do enough for you. It’s impressive how they cope with the demand of them and the speed of their work. They make great drinks, but as a beer drinker it would be nice to have Mythos or Alfa on draught, not just Zythos (there were always problems with the Alfa keg). Great choice of restaurants, but a frustration is that you have to reserve a few days in advance via mobile app if you want a dinner reservation - and then when you arrive for dinner (at a busy time like 8pm) there are only 30% or so of available tables being taken. Food in restaurants is of a really good standard and the setting is nice, servers are friendly and happy to make recommendations. Maria the lifeguard is invaluable and cares for everyone, she even treated me with medication for mosquito bites. Hotel, rooms, pool, common areas and restaurants are all impeccably clean and worth mentioning. bed is extremely comfortable and you can even change pillows if you prefer from a menu. WiFi exists all around the resort and is sufficient. We didn’t use the beach area much, but the high standard is consistent there also, and there is plenty of sun loungers. I had an issue where I was locked in a steam room and an engineer had to get us out, we joked about it with the hotel, they said it was due to the door being closed too hard, but possibly a sign should advise users not to close the door too hard then, to avoid the stress for future guests. Overall a really positive experience and we hope to return next year.

My stay at Mayia Resort was absolutely magical. The stunning views took my breath away, but the real cherry on top was the Tony's Chocolonely chocolate waiting in the fridge for me—a sweet, personal touch. Lunch at their Italian restaurant was a dream, blending the best of Italy's flavors with Greece's unmatched beauty. It's those little moments of joy and delicious meals that made my experience unforgettable. Mayia Resort knows how to make you feel special and truly cared for. Highly recommend it for a taste of luxury and serenity, with a side of chocolate!
