To the Director, I am writing to express my profound disappointment and recount the extremely unsatisfactory experience my family and I endured over the weekend at your establishment. Despite paying a substantial sum of mur 75000 for an all-inclusive package, our arrival on Friday, May 3rd at 2:00 pm was met with significant delays. One of our rooms was not ready until 3:30 pm, which was already an inconvenience. Following a tour of the facilities with a receptionist, we were informed of the inclusive dining options, only to discover upon attempting to make a reservation that the Asian restaurant was closed, the French restaurant fully booked, and the Turkish restaurant also fully booked. This discrepancy between what was promised and what was available was highly frustrating. Hygiene standards were also severely lacking, as evidenced by pigeons invading our dining area during tea time, without any staff taking action, and the automatic coffee machine replacing personalized service. Furthermore, the quality and variety of food at the buffet dinner were subpar, with no waitstaff attending to our table, leaving used plates to accumulate in an unhygienic manner. On Saturday, May 4th, our dissatisfaction only worsened. Despite a promised buffet lunch, we were directed to a different restaurant with limited seating and unappetizing food options, including hygiene concerns such as hair in the sauce and flies in the salad. Housekeeping neglected to attend to our room until late afternoon, despite our repeated requests, and the condition of the heated pool was unsanitary. The lack of attention from staff, particularly regarding spa services, where we felt discriminated against as locals, further compounded our disappointment. Sunday, May 5th marked the culmination of our ordeal when my brother-in-law sustained a serious injury at the aqualand due to inadequate safety measures. Despite the severity of his condition, the hotel failed to provide proper assistance or even call for an ambulance, leaving it to the lifeguard to intervene. Moreover, the hotel neglected to inform us of a forgotten bag until we contacted them, resulting in unnecessary delay and frustration. I insist on immediate action from your management team, and if no resolution is provided, I will be compelled to pursue further recourse. This experience has left me with no choice but to vehemently discourage anyone from patronizing your establishment. To be noted, my brother-in-law suffered a dislocated ankle, ligament damage, and required surgery due to a fractured bone, all stemming from the inadequate tiles at the aqualand facility.

My wife booked this hotel on 21 Feb for my birthday. The first impression of the hotel was good. The pools and activities seemed to be fun unfortunately could not enjoy as boat house is closed for cyclone, but there was no such variety of drinks provided in the mini-bar. Some staff members were very friendly. My big disappointment at lunch, despite knowing it was a birthday celebration, the staff only came to drop the cake and left. There was not even any music. Overall, the hotel was good. However, if you are going there to celebrate an occasion, they lack so much to make the moment special.

The best thing about this hotel is the location. The wide varieties of activities will keep you engaged. The food was relatively ok. However not much varieties if you are vegetarian. Cleanliness has nothing to do in their policies. I had cockroaches in my room. The maintenance repaired a bulb in my bathroom and left the dirt and the plastic. This was left their for 4 days!!! None of the housekeeping cleaned it properly. Not value for money. The reception team are very rigid and lack empathy.

I am currently staying here in room 2106 and I have to say that the Wifi internet connection is the worst I have experienced in the last 5 years and we go on vacation every month. Not only in the room but everywhere throughout the campus. You connect and it disconnects you in 10 seconds. We can't even send photos home to the family. Totally wrong. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, the cleanliness is average, the staff is nice but at the same time forgetful. The food is average sometimes below average. All inclusive means that you have both food and drink included in the price, but today we were charged for Rum at the bar and we were surprised. :-( Apparently there are other restaurants where you have to sign in and reserve a table in advance, unfortunately even the reception couldn't tell me where they are and the reception doesn't have a map of the hotel garden to show us where things are. We've been here for the second night so far and this is our experience .Judge for yourself whether this hotel is good or bad.I go to Dusseldorf and there is also a Hotel Maritim near the airport and it is a much better hotel than this one here in Mauritius.It can't even be compared, the only thing that is the same is the prices!The management of the hotel should think above me! My friend is staying in room 2308 and they have a broken bed, we complained about it and I wonder when and how they will solve it. The garden and the beaches are beautiful, but we are here for the second day and neither yesterday nor today they could give us beach towels because they were not .

Firstly, the mini bar in our room only had 2 soft drinks and water, which seems limited. In addition, the buffet had a limited food selection and the cocktails were not up to standard. This can be disappointing for guests who expect a wide variety of choices. Another issue I faced was the inability to do water sports activities and visit the Aqualand due to bad weather. While this is understandable and beyond the hotel's control, it would have been helpful if the staff had provided clear information on when these facilities would be closed. Additionally, the breakdown of the machine for drying towels resulted in a long wait time for towel services, preventing me from enjoying activities. This suggests a lack of proper maintenance and management. Furthermore, the lack of staff, particularly in the water sports activities area and restaurant, highlights a staffing issue that affected the overall service quality. Guests should be provided with clear guidelines and information on the hotel's amenities and timing. Lastly, the rude behavior of the receptionist when I requested a hair dryer and iron to dry our wet clothes is unacceptable. A professional and respectful response should have been provided, considering the inconvenience caused by the weather and lack of necessary amenities. Overall, these complaints indicate significant shortcomings in customer service at the Maritim Crystals Beach Hotel. It is crucial for the hotel management to address these issues and ensure that guests have a satisfactory experience during their stay.
