We went to la Veranda in march and honestly it was amazing. Really authentic place, people are so nice and caring for their client. The people from the restaurant are so nice, we had a very specific diet and they did everything according to that, and were so nice about it. It really feels like you have a personal chef cooking for you. Honestly it's much better than the big hotels with lots of people. This place is cocooning and calm. it's the best place to relax. It feels like home but in a paradise way. I would recommend eyes closed and we will definitely come back.

We had an amazing time with my partner. The staff were extremely helpful and the service was top notch. Our room was so lovely and we loved the food too. Our only regret is that we had only booked this hotel for a week to go to a supposedly better, 5* hotel down south, which had better ratings. Veranda Grand Baie was so so much better! I give it well deserved 5 stars!

It was an amazing stay, great location the pool area was lovely.
Room was clean regularly and clean towel and great air conditioning. Restaurant food was excellent,
Staff was very friendly kind, and helpful. This is the third time we been at Veranda looking forward for another one.
Excellent customer service from every department and this the key to your business. Highly recommended.

Excellent room equipped with all required amenities. Effective and very amicable staff. Food may need more sophistication and more choice for those having limited capacity to eat spices. We were lucky to be at some distance from the sound of music up to midnight . The view on the bay is magnificent and worth the stay.

Where to start here.
We travelled as a family, 14 month son, my pregnant wife and I for 10 days in Mauritius. This was not the hotel for us. For older children fine, 3+, it would work but for any younger it's just not equipped from a rooms, food, timings of restaurants, entertainment point of view. We stayed all inclusive. In a family room, ground floor.
The staff are lovely, accommodating and warm but fundamentally Kuoni, who we booked this through can't in good conscience recommend this to any other families in a similar situation. We'll be taking this up with them directly too.
The standard of the food was genuinely dreadful, we didn't travel to Mauritius to eat pizza and chips, let alone really bad pizza and chips. The all inclusive menu was this, a Panini, a burger and fried fish. Otherwise a buffet. Only one restaurant was included.
Even though we had all inclusive we ate out at least once a day.
The final straw was a rat in the bedroom, we checked out the next morning and had a fantastic last third to the holiday elsewhere on the east coast.
My only regret is not having checked us out sooner but the policy was that we'd have lost everything paid; in the end even that didn't matter to us.
In my opinion it's a 3 star with a nice pool and excellent caring staff who do go the extra mile, it's just not enough.
An enormous disappointment.
