A Mixed Bag with Potential
Paradise Found (Almost): My 4-night solo stay at this Koh Samui hotel started strong. The gym and pool were fantastic, and the breakfast fueled my adventures. Month, a staff member, truly embodied hospitality.
Room for Improvement: Unfortunately, the experience wasn't consistently excellent. Understaffing led to long waits and a forgotten room cleaning. While the 5-star rating promised luxury, even a simple request for mashed potatoes proved surprisingly difficult.
A Redeeming Effort: The staff did impress me with their responsiveness to my feedback. They were quick to address the issues, demonstrating a commitment to improvement.
Overall: This hotel has the potential to be a true gem. With more staff training and a focus on guest requests, it could deliver the luxurious solo stay it promises.

I had a lovely stay for 5 nights. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was super spacious, and the private pool was very useful in the hot weather.
The food was decent. The gym was well-equipped.
The beach itself is not great for swimming at all, even at high tide. You need to travel far to the next beach.
The hotel is 30 minutes away from town, so you feel stranded there with nothing to do sometimes. But there's a free shuttle to Lamai and Chaweng provided by the hotel, which departs at 11.00 and returns at 16.00.

I was dealing with Anya on email for arrangements. She was great.
The resort has amazing 2 bed villas. Very spacious with a big pool and separate living area.
Breakfast was average. Could have been better. We had no issues with service but some of our friends complained about it being slow.
Location is far from the city so its recomended to rent a car as tuk tuk or cab will cost a lot.
Nana the server at the restaurant stood out and was very sweet.
Avani spa was good and relaxing. I would recomend the scrubs.

It was our first time in an Avani Hotel. If we come to Koh Samui again, only to this hotel. What GM Stephan and his team do here every day is simply amazing. The room we had was very nice with a view of the sea. The complex is not that big and it is very family friendly. Despite being fully occupied, breakfast is very relaxed and quiet. We would come back to the hotel at any time 👍👍👍

First of all - reaching there. Go out of the aiport and take normal cabs , don't take prepaid cabs . Airport to avani is max 900 baht, airport cabs will take 1500 . 2nd if you know how yo ride a scooter - book it from avani- it will cost you 500 baht for 24hours else be ready to pay 500-800 baht for every taxi you take. It's located 1 hour away from the resort. but here me out - this resorts provides free shuttle to Chaweng and Lamai Beach.
The services here are great , swimming pool is clean . And the sunsets here are extremely beautiful. The prices are cheap so one doesn't need to bother getting a hole in his wallet.
Always recommended. Would love to stay here again.
