Alternatively, Laguna Phuket golf club is approximately 15-minutes’ drive away, while a fun day out at Splash Jungle waterpark is about 35 minutes away from the hotel.

The best resort on the island!
I had the best stay at The Surin, this hotel is absolutely perfect and beautifully maintained wherever you look. The private beachfront is unrivalled for Thailand, and ability to pre-book sun loungers takes any stress out of a day by the pool. The staff were exceptional (with special mentions to Dada, View, Poo & Bat for taking such good care of us) greeting us warmly every day. Ample supply of fresh drinking water at the pool, in room and in the gym (also great) was very welcome! I stayed in a hillside cottage and yes, there are lots of stairs, but the privacy and ocean views of these back cottages is excellent and would happily opt for the same room on next visit. Sweet dreams cookies and turn down service a bonus! Had a perfect holiday here!

The only downside to this hotel and that is the only one is the way it is laid out in the location. If you take a cheaper room it will be up high and will take quite a few steps to get to it. Doing it in 38C heat is not a good place to be. Don't be to worried though as they get small golf cars to take you places. That helps.
Other than that I do not have anything to highlight from the bad side. A wonderful place to stay in.

Second time at The Surin and it won’t be the last!
Aside from the exceptional accomodation, stunning private beach, idyllic pool, the great loungers and the delicious food (The Beach restaurant especially) - one of the standouts is just how incredible the staff are!
Cannot speak highly enough about the service you receive here, from every single member - you just do not come across it anywhere else in the world.
In fact, just about everything on offer makes it very easy to never leave the resort during your stay… and just wait until you see the sunsets!
Special shoutouts from us to the lovely Bat, Da Da, Pooh, View, Run, Aek, Dew, Mild and Chai - you made our stay incredible, thank you again!

Amazing Resort with some notes to be made. Total: 8.5/10
Location: 9.5/10 very well located in Surin, only issue is that there are many stairs around the hotel, which can be uncomfortable considering the heat; although awesome golf carts service on request to take you around.
Beach: 10/10 amazing private beach, beautiful sea, professional stuff and bar service.
Rooms: 8/10 very nice design, super spacious, full of amenities for guest to use. Although, unpleasant acoustic and the AC is too loud which sometimes bothers.
Spa: 5/10 super overpriced for the quality! average service and menu selection.
Services: 8.5/10 very well organised, many events and activity for all ages. it’s not an adult only, so many kids were present.
Breakfast: 9/10 a very nice variety of food sweet and salty with amazing juices and pancakes.
Restaurants: 8/10 there are two restaurants, the thai one is average the international one is good with a variety of choices.
Staff: 10/10 everyone super kind and always ready to help!! Only barrier sometimes was the communication in English.

Absolutely beautiful resort on one of the most gorgeous beaches I've ever seen. Very secluded, quiet and private.

Stayed in ocean front suite #345. It was very spacious with a large private patio and an amazing view. My only criticism is the bed was very firm (which was solved by adding a topper from the sleep menu) and the pillows were very soft and flat. I tried the other pillow options and in the 3rd night finally found something that worked. Maybe it's just me but I found the initial setup very uncomfortable, which is odd since I've not had this issue in other nice hotels.

The breakfast buffet was very good with a big variety of choices. We tried all the other restaurants and the food and service were very good. And the food manager Poo was lovely. My only callout is that the drinks were a bit weak (I doubt there was a full shot).

Excellent service, very attentive and helpful. The management goes out of their way to ensure everything is perfect. We couldn't have asked for more.
