I am perplexed by the high rating of this resort. Our first day we were served chicken that was burned on the outside and undone on the inside. The french toast was burnt every morning and the meal options were limited. I was left feeling unsatisfied with each meal. Umi was excellent.
The bar by the beach closed at 11pm. The performers were not entertaining. The staff was nice, welcoming, and professional.
There seemed to be a shortage of beach towels throughout the facility.
The rooms are spacious. If you are sharing a room, you should note the beds are twins that are pushed together to make a King when needed. Room cleaning was great. You must request face towels, they don't come with the room.
Servers do not bring drinks to you at the beach.

We’ve been to Sugar Bay twice as we enjoyed staying there so much.
The staff are extremely friendly and nothing is too much trouble.
The food is excellent and there’s always plenty of it. The on site restaurants are fabulous, particularly the steak house, the quality is superb.
We stayed in a family room which was more than large enough, always clean and only took a couple of minutes walk to the pool and beach.
The beach and water facilities are superb, it really is a wonderful place to be.

We stayed a week at Sugar Bay and the experience was incredible, we didn't want to leave! The staff were so nice, every time you walked through the hotel someone was saying hello and chatting up with you. Made for a great stay.
Location is right on the beach and while they have a pool, the beach is the main attraction with lots of chairs. They also have staff periodically come by to bring you drinks or you can head to their pool bar.
Overall I would 100% come back here and would recommend this resort. The resort is on the smaller side but if you're looking for a relaxing holiday, this is the place to be. Not to mention you are in walking distance to other shops, beaches, and restaurants if you want to explore the area!

A wonderful staff that is very hospitable! Older building but very well maintained, rooms & facilities are excellent, service spot-on, and cocktails were great. Views on beach were amazing, great live music at night! Only thing that was amiss for us was the food was just decent. Meanwhile there are some great restaurants on this island. Overall our experience was almost 5 stars!! You will have an amazing time here if u stay

I cannot say enough about Sugar Bay! We absolutely Loved our stay here. The staff is Unbelievable, every single person you pass speaks to you, everyone is happy, friendly, it was an amazing experience from the time we walked through the door to the time we left. Colin's was Wonderful abd Miss Kay was especially helpful and always smiling. The Beach bar was amazing, and Nate, Andre and Damian were always smiling and making The Best Drinks. The Reef had a Wonderful selection of food options, we mostly ate Breakfast there. We had all of our lunches at Colin's and the diversity of the daily menu was wonderful. We were able to get into The Steakhouse the last night of our stay and it was Fabulous. The beach is gorgeous, not sure about the pool, we spent pur 7days beach front. Thank you Sugar Bay for a wonderful, much needed, vacation! Can't wait to go back!
