We come to Barbados often and this is by far my favorite place we've stayed with the kids. We loved being at Bougainvillea so much we struggled to leave for activities. It's more compact than a typical beachfront resort, and it manages to feel spacious anyway. The rooms are gorgeous! Beds are soft and cozy, the view of the beach is breathtaking, and the well-stocked kitchen is a plus. Food at the resort was delicious and the poolside/beachside restaurant vibe is great for lounging all day. I love the giant chess board and swing! Sharing a beach with Sandals (next door) is also a bonus - it feels safe, well-tended and soothingly calm. For this price point we got all of the luxury and relaxation of a far pricier resort with none of its hassles.

We had a wonderful stay at Bougainvillea last week. Upon arrival at 1am, we discovered that although we booked our flight and hotel together through Orbitz the date of the hotel booking was incorrect. The staff were so accommodating and had it all sorted out quickly so we could get some rest. They were also very helpful throughout our stay, helping us with taxis, understanding the bus system, and recommending things to do. The grounds are breathtaking and the rooms are clean and comfortable. There is a place to store luggage and access to a lounge and showers if you are taking a late flight and need to use the facilities after check out. We will definitely return to Barbados and stay here!

What a beautiful hotel! The grounds are stunning, the beach picture perfect with swimming pools are areas to match the high standards. The staff are so friendly and welcoming, from the moment we arrived our experience couldn't have been more positive. There are 3 pools, 1 for over 16s (which has a swim-up bar), 1 bigger pool (4ft deep) for children and a splash pool. The beach is right by the pools and restaurant making it super easy to move from one to the other. There are plenty of sunloungers available throughout the day on the beach too. The on site restaurant Calabash is lovely, the food is superb, the staff couldn't be more helpful and dinner every night is accompanied by live music outside (singers, steel band, saxophonist etc). Rooms are clean and spacious with facilities for self catering should that be your preference.

Absolutely loved this hotel. From the moment we were greeted at reception to leaving we were made to feel very welcome. The ground floor room we had was brilliant. Lovely kitchen area equipped with fridge, oven, kettle and coffee machine. The 2 restaurants on site were very good. The swim up bar was perfect. The sea was easily accessible and good fun with waves because it's on the South coast. Very close to Oistins and Bridgetown. Would not hesitate to recommend and would definitely go back.

Although I was only here for a few days, I really enjoyed it. The staff were amazing. I feel as though each one I came into contact with went above and beyond. The scenery is beautiful, and the layout of the hotel adds to the experience. The hotel is not too far away from public transport but if you prefer to stay on the property, there are pools, the beach, movie nights and live entertainment. I will definitely visit again and encourage others to give this hotel a try. You will not be disappointed!
