We have just returned from a week stay at Stella Island. This place is fantastic! Great facilities which are excellently maintained. What struck me was how calm, relaxing and peaceful it was. Tranquility which is hard to find in this day and age.
The buffet was very good and you can book into the on site restaurants too which are very good and help break up where you eat.
A special comment for all of the staff who were all incredibly friendly and helpful. They are a credit to the hotel. Thank you for a brilliant stay!

Hotel itself was nice and the food was good! However if you have been to a decent amount of five star hotels, you’ll notice the little things that make this hotel a 4 star and not 5 star. Queen beds with scratchy/rough linens, trash and towels in the pool, etc. Staff was super friendly and overall we really enjoyed the hotel! The entertainment at night was very cool, but they were often late and some activities on the schedule didn’t even happen.

This place is so much more than we even thought and is also the place I proposed to my now fiancé.
Even before we arrived the staff have been incredible helping me plan the entire thing.
It feels like a once in a lifetime experience everytime you walk through the hotel.
Stella island is adults only but they have stella Palace and village that are family free and I would highly recommend them all to anyone!

Best hotel for vacation! We had a super nice time. Best and very large variety of cocktails. We had bigger expectations for the food but overall it was ok. When we ordered the vacation we ordered it with a different mail then the mail our membership was on and due to that we didn’t get the points and credits for our visit which was very disappointing… when we tried to get it to the correct mail and prove we’re the same person it didn’t work out… that really disappointed us and not sure it’ll be as worthy to come back once again without the benefit of the points and credits we could have collected. Overall other than this we had a really good time at the hotel.

So a group of 8 friends, 4 couples, decided to visit the lovely island of Crete and Stella Island was our chosen location.
From the moment we arrived we received brilliant service.
We were all booked all inclusive with the standard drinks package.
Being a larger group we were advised to book our restaurant choices when we first arrived. Maria, on reception, was brilliant at organising this. We were further advised to pre order our meals which we did on the day we were due to attend the relevant restaurant. This again worked really well and no mistakes were made.
When we didn’t eat at a restaurant we all ate together at the buffet, Kamata. Agapi organised it that we were able to sit together. The buffet food was varied and had different choices on each time we attended. The soups are delicious.
My favourite restaurant was Parilla the steak restaurant. We ate there twice and I can thoroughly recommend the Wagyu starter and Wagyu main.
The rooms were well appointed but I would recommend taking an extension lead to cater for all the chargers we seem to need in this day and age. Our bedding was changed every day.
So the rooms and food were great.
However what really sets this resort apart from other similar resorts I have stayed at is the staff.
I have not received better care and service anywhere in the world. People who deserve a special mention are Maria on reception, Joanna (pronounced Yoanna) who looked after us at Parilla and Umami, Ladislav the F&B manager who was always attentive and checked up on us daily and ensured the F&B kept glowing in our direction.
As you can imagine we spent a lot of time around the numerous pool areas and we were looked after by a brilliant server by the name of Maria. Maria was always polite and happy and could not do enough to help us.
In short Stella Island is a brilliant destination and I would thoroughly recommend it.
