This a really classy hotel and beautifully designed and kitted out. Nice buffet breakfast but maybe let down food wise by the dinner menu which did not change. Needed a daily special.
Otherwise, I could not fault the hotel. Staff exceptional and beautiful grounds. The grounds were constantly being manicured and there were plenty of sun beds around. The room was a good size and beds made every day.

Our first time in Cala D’Or and if wasn’t for this charming hotel and it’s wonderful staff, I think we would have had a very disappointing vacation. Our stay was during the final days of the season in Cala D’Or and I suspect we benefited from the hotel and resort being quieter than usual. We find the term ‘boutique’ often misused when applied to a hotel, but not in this case. It’s small compared to surrounding hotels and feels in a different league altogether. The staff were fantastic; friendly, extremely accommodating, attentive and courteous. Special mention to Jonatan and Stephanie on reception and the waiting staff. All excellent! Our junior suite was well appointed and maintained, furnished in a classic style. We’ve stayed in 4 star hotels with more plush/stylish rooms but there was little here to complain about. Someplace to hang jackets and store shoes at the entrance to the suite would have been nice. The balcony furniture could be better, however the balcony itself was lovely with a view over beautiful gardens and the outdoor pool. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, the air conditioning whisper quiet and effective. We stayed B&B and the choice at the breakfast buffet was vast and of a very high quality. And it was a real treat to have breakfast accompanied by live piano music. Lunches at the pool bar again superb, and great value. We only ate in the restaurant one evening as the choice was fairly limited, but the meal was very pleasant. Afternoon tea, coffee and pastries served in the lounge offered a chance to meet with some of the other guests. The hotel is very close to the centre of town and a choice of beaches. Unfortunately (for us anyway) some of the nearby hotels and bars offer loud outdoor entertainment (tribute bands, karaoke and kids clubs) most evenings which is impossible to avoid anywhere in Cala D’Or. A bit annoying if you’re trying to read on your balcony but they do stop by 11 pm. And our rooms were well soundproofed once the balcony doors and windows were closed. We would happily stay in this hotel again but unfortunately we won’t be back to Cala D’Or. A big thanks to the hotel staff again, they made our stay here a very pleasant one.

Entire hotel seemed to have been refurbished and upgraded since our lest visit ten years ago.
The hotel staff were excellent, from reception staff to restaurant staff and housekeepers. Nothing too much trouble! Our room - a junior suite in the main building - was beautifully decorated and furnished and was cleaned daily. The food and service in the restaurant were first class. The grounds and the two pools were maintained to a very high standard. The location was perfect for us, just on the edge of the resort - so not noisy - but within a five minute walk of the main resort centre. This hotel definitely deserves its five star rating. It is no surprise that we were not the only returning guests. We will plan on many more stays here!

We had a brilliant stay recently in October. Never been on a holiday with half board before but as it was our first trip with our little one we decided to try it to make it as predictable as possible. The food at this hotel was fantastic, not what I thought resort half board food would be like at all. The quality and presentation was what I would pay for normally when dining in the city. I have to say the food at Melia Cala d'Or was much better than the other local options in Cala d'Or so we definitely lucked out there.
They were very accomodating delivering our half board dinner to our room in the evenings when our little one had gone to bed. Fortunately we stayed in a Junior Suite so we were able to enjoy our evenings in the living room without disturbing a sleeping baby.
Facilities were just big enough to feel intimate and the staff were all so lovely. We had a brilliant and relaxing time with our little one and made some great memories.

The staff are exceptional and the place is immaculate. The cleaners work very hard and pay attention to detail cleaning things that let’s just say in the UK would get bumped (missed!) The reception staff, nothing was a problem and they helped out with any requests to a very satisfactory level, no dismissing which can be common. The manager always stopped and spoke to us and made sure we were happy and had what we needed, the breakfast staff and chef went the extra mile to ensure our kids (and my wife) had what they wanted to eat each morning. Our guest experience manager Tania was unbelievably helpful. She regularly made sure we were happy with everything and was able to assist us with a few extra things that may have been problematic for another hotel so we are very grateful to the entire hotel staff for making our stay and experience a 5 star stay at a 5 star hotel. The staff all took pictures with us creating great memories. The poolside bar staff worked tirelessly, working hard inside and out the hotel and they were very efficient with food, drinks and snacks and the socorrista (lifeguard) stood up and spoke to us everyday which was a nice, professional touch. Would and will go back and would highly recommended Melia Boutique even for just the staff experience alone!
