InterContinental Resort Mauritius is ideally placed - close to everything but far away from the usual city noises.
Right from the start, the staff was so warm and welcoming, especially Mr. Kevin. They make you feel like family in the most professional way possible. Each and every person in the resort will greet you and always with a smile.
All the rooms are sea facing so there’s no missing out on that, they are well laid out and spacious with all the amenities.
The various food options are all excellent and a must try.
Would highly recommend anyone to book this hotel. Special thanks to all the staff, from the reception all the way to the room service, and especially Mr. Kevin for making my first anniversary extremely special!

The good:
This is a great resort. It perhaps the prettiest I have been to. Lots of mature palm trees and vegetation and great lighting at night. The rooms are beautiful and well laid out. The beach and surf look good especially with the sharp jagged mountains in the background. The staff are friendly. The cleaning service was the best we have ever seen - thank you Corrina - the care a pride you put into your word is commendable! Breakfast was amazing - so tasty and almost infinite options! The staff manning each booth were super happy and friendly. The gym and spa were great too. The staff were super flexible and understanding. They have a card system for towels which was great. There were lots of chairs / loungers available too.
The bad:
We found it pricey.
The location would be tricky without a car…we had one.
You can swim in the lagoon but not the beach due to coral…I think this is the same for the whole island. The breach was beautiful mind you.
The food other than breakfast was pricey and so so in my opinion - we didn’t get all inclusive. It could be justified if delicious but…
The coffee service in AM was a bit hit and miss for timing to sync with eating.
There really wasn’t much activity- less a reflection of the vast programming they have available and more the clientele. Not many people doing sports etc.
Over-all I would come back!

Beautiful.. Beautiful.. Beautiful .........
Am writing this review a little late, but I want to share details about this beautiful resort with you. My wife and I stayed here from February 17th to February 22nd in a sea-facing room. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Mrs. Sonia from the front desk, who made us feel comfortable after a long journey from India. Although the official check-in time was 12 pm, they kindly allowed us to check in early.
The resort is situated by the sea and boasts beautifully constructed rooms along the shore. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay throughout all the days at the hotel. The staff is excellent; at every step and every hour of our stay, they made us feel comfortable with their services. The room service is excellent, and the food they provide is of high quality with a variety of cuisines available for guests. The only issue we encountered was that drinking water was not provided during lunch and dinner, so we had to carry water from our rooms. However, they did provide unlimited water bottles to our rooms without any hassle.
The food is very tasty, especially the Indian dishes which we enjoyed every day. In the evenings, there were beautiful singing performances and various Caribbean activities to entertain the guests. The pool is well-maintained and connected to a bar, creating a relaxing environment. Our room was cleaned daily without fail, and all the front desk managers were very helpful and had a welcoming demeanor. We both felt a homely atmosphere during our stay.
The people of Mauritius are loving and caring, displaying great hospitality. The international services provided were excellent; we have traveled to many countries and stayed in numerous hotels, but this experience was the best. One suggestion for management: kindly place a board in the dining hall reminding guests not to waste food. We observed that a significant amount of food was being wasted on plates every day, which is precious for many people around the world. It would be beneficial to take some initiative to politely educate all guests about this matter.
One additional suggestion for the management: please consider providing floor mats in all the bathrooms of the rooms, as using bath towels for this purpose is not advisable. We plan to return to Mauritius very soon and stay at the Intercontinental again to enjoy the exceptional hospitality.

Recently stayed at the InterContinental Mauritius for 3 nights and we had an amazing stay!
My membership as a diamond ambassador member of IHG was valued and we got a really nice room upgrade and other diamond benefits.
We upgraded our stay to All Inclusive and one of the best decisions. Food is of a very high quality and included drinks are also really well. Most of the times we try to avoid AIP as the drinks aren't good, but need to admit, the cocktails at the InterContinental were really good.
Food-wise we went to the a la carte restaurants Segala, Veda and Noble House. All of them are very good, it's lovely to sit at all places and you have lots of options food-wise. But Noble House certainly wins, the atmosphere is incredible and the food is so lovely that we went back a second time.
The hotel area is designed really nice and made up of different cosy quiet places next to the beach. So it's even possible to feel like you are on your own private beach as you have so many places to choose from.
Swimming pool area is also very nice and bar at the pool in the sun is the place to be.
All the staff will do their upmost best to provide a wonderful stay. All of them are friendly and helpful. Special thanks to Ishrat for helping us before our stay with some questions we had.
I have been to many intercontinental's in the world, but this one really stands out and I hope to return in the future.

First of all it’s gorgeous location, away from city hassles. You may not feel like going anywhere else when you have private beach, infinity pool, boathouse and what not. Every room has got outstanding ocean view.
Overall vibe of resort is so relaxing.
Staff is so polite and took care of us so much, especially GRM Vishan.
Indian, Italian food and all desserts - delicioussss !!
Whole vacation just got better because of our stay here…
