This hotel was a lovely place to stay, it was jam packed with activities, such as archery, four swimming pools, loads of kid-friendly activities, and a football pitch, not to mention entertainment every night. We went for 7 days, and not one day wasn’t up to a good standard. The food was fabulous and there was a change in the selection each day, there was a little bit of something for everyone. It was around a 10 minute walk to the beautiful flamingo beach and around 19 minutes to the marina, which was full of plenty of shops and a large supermarket. The rooms were perfect, spacious and comfortable. You could not ask for anything better. The staff and the cleaning team were also amazing, they worked hard every day to make sure everything was clean and up to shape. Room service was provided every single day without fail, and they did an excellent job each day. This hotel was a pleasure to stay at, and i would definitely recommend going here for a fun, kid-friendly trip.

Nice place not far from the sea. Good pool area. Food pretty good for an all inclusive. Bar service slow needs more staff. All staff polite and friendly. Clean rooms, excellent showers. Not too noisy. Would visit again.

Just finishing up our week here and we’ve been pleasantly impressed with the hotel:) very clean, nice selection of food, pleasant staff, brilliant entertainment team and a great location that’s only 5mins walk to flamingo beach that’s very safe for a swim and also has some small shops and a few restaurants. The only minor negatives would be the slight lack of seating in the evenings and bar staff a little low on numbers (also in the evenings). Overall a nice hotel in a nice location I wouldn’t hesitate to come back to.

Good place for families. It has kids' clubs, entertainment, and daily activities. The hotel surrounding is beautiful, a lot of palms, cactuses, flowers. Rooms are very spacious, liked shower where you can see the sky. 🙂 Our Suite rooms were cleaned daily, but parents had Superior room and it wasn't cleaned so often. There were ants in the room. Staff were very helpful and friendly. You could see they were working hard and one person at the pool bar serving so many people. Food was alright, but as 4 star hotel were expecting more variety. Probably it depends what time you come to the hotel. After half term, it was more choice and less queue. Don't choose option with waterpark included, not worth it, half of the park was not working. I loved a man playing saxophone during dinner. He was very good.

We have just returned from a week at the Rio Playa Blanca. Its an okay hotel but not worthy of a return. On the plus points the staff are very friendly, we managed to get a late check out for our room that gave us another day to enjoy ourselves. The buffet food is hit and miss. Like other reviewers have said there is often something to eat - but sometimes it can be really good and other times its a real let down. The paella was amazing, so was there doner meat, and you can see that they are trying to please their customers, but some of it is a let down because the food has been on the food warmers for too long and is never piping hot unless you get it straight away. We upgraded for a master suite with a jacuzzi and the jacuzzi was lovely. The safe in the room was incredibly small and the hubby was struggling to get my tablet in there. The beds were very hard and uncomfortable to sleep on. The pillows were just as bad, so bring your own pillows. There was a lack of umbrellas by the pool though there was a lot of sunbeds to choose from but with the heat of Lanzarote could have done with shade. The water in the pool felt like ice and could do with being heated. Very throttled for an all inclusive and stayed a few - it really feels like full board rather than all inclusive. For example, they charge for cocktails, and a lot of the drinks and as someone that doesnt drink beer and wine, it felt very limited indeed and the worst all inclusive i have stayed at for what is included. The night we arrived for example there was just one water bottle in our room for five of us and the bar told us that we could only have water if we paid for it. First time to be at an all inclusive when drinks are not restocked in your fridge and you end up paying at the shop for drinks or using the tiny cups they provide at the machines. Overall, it feels like a money grab where they want as much as they can that they can charge extra for when its supposed to be all inclusive. I really dont feel like its a 4 star - 3 star at the best having said that, i have stayed at better 3 stars than this one.
