We visited not to long ago, got to say on arrival looks amazing very pretty. Staff seemed friendly. Then it started when we walked in our room. Ants…. We arrived so late we thought we might as well just deal with it tomorrow ( also had our two kids with us ) so we just got on with it. The next day there was literally a nest in our room. Was disappointed. Explained to staff but all they seemed to have done was clean it with water… ants returned again. Was told there was no chance of moving rooms. Thanks but no thanks I got. Then after that we had to just deal with it. Cockroaches in our bathrooms. Then throughout the week the ants kept coming back. At one point was all over our bathroom sink and toothbrushes. Another thing that was really bad in all fairness I didn’t report this one but there is two pools. A adult one & a child one which most kids 4 upwards could stand in with 2 water slides. THE LIFEGUARD. WHO is meant to be watching and on guard literally sat on his phone all day. I’m gonna upload videos but it was so bad, a child’s pool also!!! He never said hi just ignore everyone. The one thing I will say that is good about the hotel is it has a shop that has everything in it. Also had a spa which is nice if you are getting treatments, I will say though it’s all MEN , so if you are a lady, be a warned it will be a man massaging you which I know not a lot of woman like. The food was actually amazing for a all inclusive, a lot of variety & the food standard was amazing. In my opinion this hotel isn’t a 5 star rooms are more like a 4. I’ll upload photos. I’ve seen you can’t upload videos but the vids are worse of the bugs. I’ve had to screen shot them but honestly didn’t get offered anything for all this which we paid around 6k for. Disappointed.

The outside area of the hotel is lovely. Great pool, beach and roof top terrace. However the rooms are not great and really need serious TLC - for example, if I opened the cold tap, it would take me 5 attempts to close it. There has been a lot of light coming into the room from the hall at night but the hotel staff could not do anything about it. The worst part was lunch and dinners. At breakfast you get coffee and water but at lunch they remove the water stations and charge you £5 per bottle! I thought this was such a basic thing and when I complained to the manager, they sent out table two free bottles. Another thing, in the room you get 4 coffee pods but once you run out (I stayed for 7 days), if you want a new set you have to pay 8 euros! What a basic thing to provide coffee! After complaining, I received one pod per day but this has been super disappointing. As a result, I would not stay again.

We had an amazing time at Grecotel Creta Palace. The hotel is beautifully designed with very well maintained grounds and gardens. What particularly stands out is the 5* service. All the staff are very friendly and professional. We were on half board and we really enjoyed both breakfasts and dinners. The food was always fresh and delicious with loads of choices for everyone's taste and requirements. The only issue we had was the bathrooms. They really need upgrading with proper walk in showers instead of the baths. Apart from that it's a fantastic hotel with a great location for interesting sights to visit. I would definitely recommend it. Thank you Grecotel Creta Palace for our lovely holiday.

Perfectly located close to the charming Rethymnon, this is a great family hotel - one of the top choices on the island. Large beach, beautiful gardens, a great little "mini village" with convenience store and coffee shop, play area for the children. The rooms are clean and staff is generally friendly and helpful. Definitely a place you will miss after you leave.

We’re a couple who stayed for 7 nights with a 3 year old. Here’s my take: • Rooms (4 out of 5): Stayed in one of their rooms which had a great view of the sunrise. They were beautifully decorated. However, they were a bit noisy at times (from 8PM until 10:30PM when live concerts happen) and could use some updates. • Cleanliness (5 out of 5): The room was spotless, and housekeeping did an excellent job. • Staff (5 out of 5): Felt like I was amongst friends, not just hotel employees. They went out of their way to ensure our stay was perfect. • Food (5 out of 5): Food was a highlight! Had most of my meals at their buffet, and it didn't disappoint. • Beach (5 out of 5): Enjoyed the beach, though there were a few rocky areas. • Location (5 out of 5): Perfectly placed. Close enough to the town for quick visits, but far enough that you're enveloped in peace and tranquility.
