We’ve stayed at the Gran Costa Adeje 3 times, the most recent being March 2024. We’ve always had a fantastic holiday here. The staff are all very friendly and helpful with any requests we had. The food selection is plentiful although the menu themes did seem a little repetitive this time compared to our first visits. The location is excellent. The pools are all excellent too. Well worth considering as your hotel when visiting Tenerife.

Lovely spacious traditional hotel. Very large unheated swimming pool great for swimming laps. Also large heated pool with capacity for all. Buffet breakfast and dinner of very high quality. Very clean and well kept. Lots of staff who are very friendly. Highly recommend.

3rd visit here, lovely hotel, spotlessly clean, plenty of food choice in the restaurant. All the staff are so friendly and go out of their way to help with anything. Will be definitely be back.

To give this hotel a 1 star rating is above what they deserve. When you see this hotel you assume that it will be fantastic but all we have received from the staff here is ‘no’, ‘no’ and ‘no’. On the first night they said you can’t have dinner restaurant is closed even though we had paid for the half board dinner. We ended up buying dinner and they did not offer any compensation for this. My husband asked for something special in the room as it was our one year wedding anniversary and his birthday but they said they ‘forgot’. We asked for a room with a view and they said we will add a request but on the day they said we are fully booked and there is a charge for this. First morning here the lady put bacon in my vegetarian omlette- again no apology or compensation. This hotel has had a change of management or seriously gone downhill since we last came 2 years ago. The hotel did not allow us to enter for dinner as my husband only had shorts. They kept repeating ‘rules are rules’ in a patronising manner. We said ok, can you please downgrade our board to bed and breakfast. They said they will do it for the 5 nights but are now saying they won’t and will only offer refund for 4 days. I asked the manager Tamara why? When we have not eaten dinner in the hotel since arrival, and she shrugged her shoulders saying restaurant closed it’s not our fault, no refund. I think they believe that as the hotel appears so grand they can get away with poor customer service. This hotel may have been 5 starts previously but it certainly does not offer 5 star hospitality at this current time. Extremely disappointed and have started an official enquiry and complaint through our travel agency!

Welcome to the GF Gran Costa Adeje, where 2 of the 5 stars played hide and seek. During our two-week stay in February 2024, we opted for the bed and breakfast option, although the hotel offers half board and all-inclusive packages as well.
The hotel claims a 5-star rating, but in our experience, it's more akin to a three-star establishment. While the rooms are spacious and offer comfortable amenities like large beds and ample storage, cleanliness seemed to be an issue. Despite the luxurious bathroom amenities and powerful shower, the cleaning standards fell short, leaving floors dirty enough to darken your feet after a stroll around the room.
The pools offer a mix of temperatures, with one being icy enough to make a penguin shiver and the other comfortably heated. The poolside loungers are indeed cozy, but the surrounding areas could have benefitted from more frequent cleaning - frankly disgustingly dirty.
Breakfast at the main buffet area provided a wide selection of dishes, though the repetition over two weeks grew tiresome.
Unfortunately, the staff's level of service left much to be desired. Many seemed disinterested and failed to meet basic standards of hospitality, others extremely rude. It was a rare sight to seem a happy and polite member of staff.
We were surprised to learn that even all-inclusive guests were required to pay extra for certain items, like cocktails and poolside snacks. For example a cocktail is €7.50 for standard guests and all inclusive guests must put €4.50 towards their cocktail.
In summary, while the GF Gran Costa Adeje boasts decent facilities, the overall experience was marred by cleanliness issues and lackluster staff performance. It's unlikely we'll return, but perhaps with more accurate marketing, guests' expectations could be better aligned with reality. If you do come, bring a mop! This is a 3 star hotel not 5
