It's a great hotel and the service from the wait staff is not too bad (definitely not as great as my last stay in dreams royal)
. I booked my first Dreams holiday at Dreams royal with a large group of friends 2 years ago, and decided to return to Dreams Flora with another group of friends.
However rating 1 star as my experience this time has been tainted by unfair treatment from the Hyatt World incentive team
Upon checking in this time, I was presented with a key where I booked a meeting with people selling Unlimited vacation membership with an incentive of $100. I was happy with this. However, I later found out that my friends were offered a $200 incentive instead.
The only reason this was done is because I'm single. So the couples get a $400 incentive to share between them, but the single person gets $100. The mad thing is I go on a lot more holidays than my friends do and always get the pay the single person tax which is like double on holidays. I was also going to join the scheme as well (whereas it wasn't suited for my friends as they don't travel much at all and won't benefit from it)
What's made me mad about this is just the unfairness of this silly miscalculation. The seller obviously assumed the others would be more likely to purchase the membership and offered them more.
I usually like dreams cos everyone is "family" but this has tainted my view and I don't think I'll be booking any future group holidays at this brand anymore.
My advise, don't stay at Dream flora... Rooms are better, but overall, a downgrade on the Dreams experience so far. I'm here for 7 more days so there may be some redemption

I have been to Dominican three times previous to this trip and the service here was by far the best. We were surprised one night with chocolate strawberries and a cold bottle of champagne which was great. We had opted into a room that was part of the preferred club and in my opinion it is worth it. By opting in you get access to a butler who checks in with you, can make recommendations and helps you with whatever you need. Our butler was Arjenis and he was superb! There is a lot of “chair saving” at this resort and it can be difficult getting a spot on the beach if you aren’t there until the afternoon but the beach is beautiful. There are a couple of pools, one that has activities and another that is pretty quiet. The food is hit or miss so you don’t really know what you are going to get buts it’s ok. Still a great place to vacation and lots of fun. When it comes to planning activities, this hotel is always the first pick up and the last drop off due to the location. One tip - bring your own shampoo and conditioner. My daughter and I have really long hair and what the hotel provided did not do the trick. If you have to buy it from the shop it is very expensive. The highlight of this hotel is really the friendly service and to me, that really makes it!

This is the third all inclusive resort I've been too, and probably my third favorite. The staff was great and very accommodating to our needs for our party of 15. The rooms were pretty average, no tub was a little disappointing and our room constantly got mosquitos which got annoying very fast. If you're in it for a relaxing pool/beach experience this resort is excellent. The beach is super clean and pools are as well. The bartenders were okay, if you ordered a mixed drink it might taste a little bit different every time. The food was also average to above average. The Italian restaurant and Asian cuisine places were great along with the seaside grill. Entertainment wise it was below average, normally just some live singing in the evening and a show at 9pm which was about it. The spa was excellent and the workout room was it great shape as well. For a newer resort that has only been around a few years it just lacked that "Wow" factor. Still enjoyed the stay none the less.

I've stayed at a lot of great resorts and sadly, this one is at the bottom of my list. I'm used to fantastic staff interaction and kindness. Most at the resort acted as though you were bothering them IF you needed something. My room was loaded with mosquitos and the shower was cold. Clearly staff didn't check before I arrived. I WILL say that the food was better than most resorts. The pools were in great shape and beach kept very clean. Daily activities lacked for sure compared to others as well.
I was with my friends which made the experience memorable, but sadly, it wasn't the resort. Safety was also great.

This was the most fabulous place I have ever stayed at! All of the staff there were so friendly and we had the best time ever! Our 18 year old seniors had a blast and will remember this trip for a lifetime. We want to shout out George and his whole entertainment team. They were such a great group of people and took us in like family! We will never forget this trip! All of the staff were fabulous!
