Catalonia Royal Bavaro is the perfect spot if you want to do absolutely nothing. This is a very small resort with most of the action at the sister resort next door. Preferred status gets you full access to the sister resort. Grounds were very clean and maintained, beach was okay, a lot of seaweed but they tried their best to clean everyday. The only thing about the beach is you are constantly getting peddlers trying to sell you something, it was too much. Rooms are dated but clean. Food was okay, not Cuba but not Jamaica either. Need to mention 2 people, the money lady Ana at the front desk and the beach concierge Israel, both were super friendly and accommodating!

What an amazing resort! My wife and I have now been here two years in a row and will continue to come! The main reasons we like it are because it's relatively small and quiet (not a party resort at all). Everyone is very respectful and the staff are always friendly and welcoming. We have spoken with a few other guests and they all say they are repeat customers...I can understand why! Ezequiel at Sea Blue was amazing! Looked after us very very well and had a great attitude! Definitely recommend going to Sea Blue.

This was my second visit to Catalonia and I already look forward to returning. The employees here are so friendly and helpful at every angle. From the waiters, front desk staff, security, housekeepers, everyone greeted us with a smile and helped us any way they could. The food is excellent and the drink service is unmatched. The rooms are stunning - we had 2 rooms, a regular room and the duplex and the duplex is so worth it. The view, private pool, and amenities made our vacation that much better. 10/10 recommend this resort.

This resort was absolutely amazing- can’t say enough good things about it! All the staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was amazing- they had so much variety and had allergy notices on all menus (as someone with a food allergy this was very appreciated). The entertainment was awesome. They have lots of fun things to do- and it is also a great place to relax! The beach was absolutely beautiful. This was our first trip down south and certainly did not disappoint! We would 100% come back here again!

Stayed during Christmas and new year. Hotel renovated recently and we got the renovated room. New year gala party was awesome and generally service and food is good. The only thing bother me was the BEACH. You need water shoes to go in. They have 2 golf course. 18 and 9 holes. 18 is just ok. 9 hole is pretty challenging. I really wanna thanks to Anna who is working at reception. She always do her best to solve my issue and try to help.
