Recently stayed here for 4 nights. A great resort if you just want to sit by the pool all day and do nothing else. The scheduled entertainment and activities were definitely lacking. The walls were also paper-thin. You could hear everything inside the hotel and outside on the balcony. The food was average, but the wait times to get a table for dinner were ridiculous. We were told 45 minutes and got a message our table was ready an hour and a half later. The staff was very friendly and attentive though! Overall a good resort, but probably wouldn’t visit again.

1st time at this Secrets & they do a lot for the guests. 5 de Mayo is not a Mexican holiday but more a US holiday & you would have never guessed it. Great party for all who attended. Spa is very nice. Massages were amazing. Restaurants are many & food selection good. 4 pools well attended. All in all, I was.one very happy guest here.

I loved everything about this resort! I'm a travel agent (nobody knew that) and I was super impressed. The resort itself is beautiful with natural decor. It never felt crowded to me - we could always get a drink without a line, there were always beach chairs, there was no waiting for the buffet and the restaurant wait was only about 15-20 minutes at the most. The food was excellent. The beach here is gorgeous - loud rolling waves but fun to play in. The staff was amazing - every single person we encountered was so nice and helpful. We absolutely loved our room - preferred club junior suite ocean view. It was almost too big as we kept losing things because there is so much space. The balcony was huge. We enjoyed coffee and mimosas every morning out there. Such a great time - and we miss it so much already. I highly recommend!

Overall great experience and would even go again!
Pros: clean beach and poolside area, easy to get a table for dinner (we went right at 6pm though), good drinks, attentive wait staff, good poolside entertainment but not a ton.
Cons: guest rooms were a bit used and abused (but sort of expected for an all-inclusive in Cancun so set your expectations appropriately), getting chairs by the pool was weird (needed to get down there by like 7am to get a good spot and then sometimes people reserve spots and NEVER COME DOWN), not a lot of evening entertainment (could step it up there).
Highlights: the food for an all-inclusive was GREAT (and I can be picky with food), we upgraded to the Honeymoon suite, and it was AMAZING. The views in the morning, the tub, the balcony. Just splurge and get it you won't regret it.
We were only there for 3 nights and stayed on the resort the full time. If you plan to stay longer I would recommend doing things off property as 3 days on property was plenty.

Me and my husband stayed here for a week for our honeymoon and overall had a nice experience.
The room was nice and clean with a beautiful view from the balcony. Although I’d say the soundproofing is not too good. Room service took some time to arrive, but overall was acceptable.
The pools are clean and easily accessible with a good view of the ocean. I’d say the hot tub should be larger, and I also would’ve appreciated some better poolside entertainment. They have random events like water aerobics and poker, but nothing too exciting or engaging at least when we were there. Also no swim-up bar like most resorts have.
The beach was nice and we thoroughly enjoyed relaxing there, and usually could find some chairs.
Service was usually good and employees were friendly.
With regards to food, it wasn’t necessarily bad, but the process of getting it was. The restaurants usually had a long initial wait to be seated, and then the wait time to be served was exceptionally long for most of the nights we were there. It would take us probably 2+ hours to complete the process of waiting to sit down and then waiting for our food. This was the case even when the restaurant was seemingly empty. The longest wait time I believe was when we had a beach side dinner in one of the private cabanas, which I would’ve thought would have the best service. This issue was our main problem with the stay, and puts a damper on the evening and limits your time. The food was decent, a couple of great dishes and the rest were just okay. Buffet and poolside food was easy but average. Overall I expected better from the food.
I’m not one to judge drinks, but in my opinion they were good and the bartenders were friendly. There were employees here and there taking drink orders by the pool/beach.
Overall, it was a good experience for me and my husband, but I feel neutral about the idea of coming back, especially with how many options there are.
