Amazing experience. This was one of the best resorts we've been to. Rooms were spacious and nicely appointed. We had an ocean view, and there was a hot tub on the balcony. Restaurant food variety was impressive. The service staff were awesome {Mar, Cruz, Amara, Luis (Preferred Club) and Steven on the E Team}. There was a fair bit of seaweed on the shore, so ocean swimming was limited. One of the nicest features is that if you want to party, then you have access to the Breathless side of the resort and if you want to be more laid back then you can find that at the Secrets side of the resort.

The staff at Rose Water Restaurant at Secrets truly made our dining experience a special occasion. From the moment we walked through the doors, we were greeted with warm smiles and a genuine sense of hospitality. Christian, in particular, went above and beyond to ensure that every detail of our evening was perfect.
The service provided by the staff was impeccable. They were attentive and knowledgeable, offering helpful suggestions and accommodating our dietary preferences with ease. The waitstaff was prompt and efficient, ensuring that our glasses were always filled and our plates were cleared in a timely manner. Their attention to detail and commitment to providing exceptional service was evident in every interaction.
The ambiance of the restaurant was enchanting, with soft lighting and tasteful decor that set the stage for a memorable evening.
The culinary experience at Rose Water was truly outstanding. The menu offered a wide variety of options, all expertly prepared with the freshest ingredients. The waitstaff took the time to explain each dish, enhancing our understanding and appreciation of the culinary journey we were embarking on.
Overall, our experience at Rose Water Restaurant at Secrets was nothing short of exceptional. My partner and I stayed here this past week. Overall we really enjoyed it. All the service staff were so friendly when we arrived and really worked hard to make sure everyone was enjoying themselves. I loved that we had access to both Secrets and the Breathless property. The pools and the rooms were very clean. I saw the other reviews about Luis in the preferred club and they were not wrong. He makes the best drinks! The food did surpass my expectations. I’ve heard not so good things about the food at AIs, however the food at this resort was very good. There was a good range of ages there, from mid 20s up to 80-90 year olds, so if you want to avoid the spring break crowd, this is the place.
The downsides were that the beach and the water was full of seaweed, but the staff made sure that it was cleaned up every day. Our private jacuzzi was also faulty and had issues with the jets and leakage. I did report it to maintenance, hopefully it is able to be fixed.
Overall, I was happy with our stay. If you are looking for a smaller resort that has a good mix of relaxation/party, this is the place.

This is a fantastic choice for couples or friends aged 25+.
Entertainment: Perfect blend of party (when you want it) and peace and luxury when you don't.
Staff: Attentive, polite, and fun.
Drinks: Plentiful and everywhere.
Food: For an all-inclusive they did pretty well. The morning breakfast was fantastic.
Length: I would recommend 6 nights 5 days.
Notes: Bring your own hairdryer. Bring enough cash so you don't need to use the ATM. I think it charged around $120 to take out $1,000.
Tips: There is no requirement or expectation of tips - however, I strongly advise tipping $3-5 per meal and $1-2 per drink. Don't forget to support the Housekeepers and others you might find helpful along the way. I also find it's to your advantage to give a nice tip to start with your bartender and they will take care of you.
Summary: If you are looking for the Cancun experience without a bunch of 18 year olds running around vomiting on everything this is your place. The median age when were there was probably 45, however I think any age from 25-90 would have a fantastic vacation here.

Very nice rooms and showers. AC is coldest we have had in Cancun. Small and quiet, but cohabited with “Breathless” which is party hardy if you want.
Spotty Wifi
Restaurant AC was under powered. Long pants required for men and the hibachi place was so hot I had to go outside into the unconditioned space to cool off.
Don’t do room service. Food cold and burger raw.
