Overall, our stay at the Park Central Hotel in New York was decent. We chose this hotel because of its proximity to the areas we wanted to explore in NY, and it did not disappoint. We were able to easily walk to places we wanted to visit.
The room was clean and stocked with what we needed, though it wasn't perfect. It had a mini-fridge and a TV, but there was no microwave or coffee maker. The main issue we had was that the heater and air conditioner did not work properly in the room, so we had to open the window to cool it down. I reported the issue to the front desk, and they said they would send maintenance to fix it. However, it didn't seem like they did anything because the problem persisted. Another issue was that only one elevator worked, but we managed to work around it.

I want to give an high review to this hotel, because in my opinion they are making a good job! The hotel management is indipendent, and overall they offer very big rooms (a bit old, some re-furniture will be good) and a good service. My room was ready before the check-in time, and they made me access immediately and pretty quick. They have some problems with the elevators in this period, but the service elevators were made available so honestly I didn’t find any issues with elevators. In my opinion they offer a good solution at a proper price, considering it is in NY very close to Central Park. I will recommend it!

It was a decent stay. The rooms were clean and the location of the hotel is very convenient - close to Times Square, Central Park and Subway stations. We had booked a quadruple room. The room itself was quite small and packed with not very much space to move around. It was also poorly lit. The lack of lights in the room and in the dressing was noticeable. Moreover, the services and the amenities were very disappointing for a 4-star hotel - not enough towel hangers in the bathroom, no fridge/minibar/tea or coffee, no slippers, no bathrobe, no bedside table, almost nothing around apart from the beds. Even the charging sockets were way too few in our room
As many people already mentioned they are currently upgrading their elevators. So they have like 2 elevators currently in use which is indeed a burden. I think for the time being they shouldn’t let people in the rooms located at the top floors so that they can use the stairs. Our room was on the 4th floor and we used the stairs pretty often even though sometimes an elevator would have been more convenient. I guess this hotel is a pretty decent option, though pricey, given its location in NYC

I am very disappointed with my recent stay at the Park Central Hotel. Despite its excellent location in the heart of the city, the hotel itself did not meet my expectations. The room is noticeably run-down, and the restroom conditions are unsatisfactory. Additionally, the air conditioning was not functioning properly, which was a significant discomfort. The service also fell short, even though I had arranged my reservation well in advance. Considering the high cost of the stay, I expected much better quality and service. There are several other hotels in the vicinity that might offer more value and a better experience. Oh and all the elevators are not working. There are reports of people getting stuck on the elevators.
UPDATE, The next day I went back to the front desk and they move me to a different room.

Overall, my stay at this hotel was decent. The service was good, and the hotel was clean, which are two important factors for me when choosing accommodations. However, I was disappointed to discover upon arrival that they were in the process of upgrading the elevators. This meant that only a few elevators were operational, resulting in long wait times of over 5-10 minutes to go up and down. It would have been appreciated if this information had been communicated ahead of time, especially considering the high price per night. Hopefully, the elevator upgrade will improve the overall experience for future guests.
