An amazing place. I stayed there for 3 nights as part of my honeymoon. The safari drives were amazing! We saw each of the Big 5 several times. The Lodge itself, was brilliant. Comfortable rooms, incredible staff, and great food. My wife and I stayed in the giraffe's nest for one night as well and it really was a once in a lifetime experience. I highly recommend doing it!

Stayed here for a few nights in September. I would describe this place as comfortable and rustic. The game reserves pretty much all follow the same format with some variations. There two drives a day and early morning one and an evening one. They both take a few hours and allow you to try to see a variety of animals. The food was excellent and the facilities are nice. You have to be escorted after dark around the facility. I would wish there was either fitness facilities or trail for walking. There is not much room for that since it's out in the bush.

Our stay at Motswari was fantastic - to start off, the property itself is absolutely stunning, the rooms are spacious and beautiful, and you are surrounded by wildlife 24/7 due to the open air fence. The food for all three meals was delicious - they just kept feeding us and it got better each time! The safari's themselves were amazing - I've been on many safari's before, mostly in national parks where an animal sighting is reported and 20 cars race and crowd the animal and it feels very uncomfortable. This did not happen here - all of the guides are in contact with one another and the surrounding private lodges and have a 1-2 car rule where you are only ever around one another car while doing your animal sighting. This made it an incredibly intimate experience with each animal and felt like we were respecting the wildlife while still being able to get up close. The guides were also fantastic - we had Paul and Magic who were the best duo we could have asked for. We saw the big 5 in one day in addition to wild dog sightings every day, hyena dens and pups, several leopards and lion prides, and elephants and giraffes everywhere! Motswari offered everything you could want in a safari and more, and it's true when they say leave as a friend. We visited for our honeymoon and are already planning our next trip back! 11/10 recommend this place to anyone and everyone.

We had the most amazing experience at Motswari . The lodge we stayed in had everything we needed, a large comfy bed hot shower a bath to soak in, bed turned down on an evening and mosquito nets arranged.
The food was excellent, my dietary needs were well catered for ( I’m coeliac )
All the staff are so friendly and do everything to make you feel welcome.
The game drives were more than we could have ever dreamed of, our guide Josh and tracker David did amazing we saw The Big 5 and much much more, they were so very knowledgeable and made us feel like friends.
It’s true what they say “arrive as guests leave as friends “ thank you team Motswari for the most memorable stay.

The last slide of this post sums up this week better than words ever could.
I was shocked at just how abundant the wildlife was. How close you can get. How knowledgeable the guides are. How deeply passionate everyone who works on these reserves is about conservation.
We saw the big five in two drives. Motswari was a unique experience. A family owned private reserve where you are guaranteed a crowd free personal experience. At no time did it feel commercialised. It was a rustic experience where it’s not uncommon to have a leopard walk right down the path past your room. Be sure to ask for Owen and George to be your guides. They made the week more magical than we could ever have imagined.
If you’ve ever considered doing a safari before, my advice is to just do it if you can. The past few days have been something I’ll never forget.
In this price bracket Motswari just can not be beaten.
