Had a wonderful holiday with the family here. We had beautiful rooms overlooking the Marina which are gorgeous and also look out to the sea. The hotel setting is spectacular. The resort is remote from everything so it is good that it is a resort with everything self contained.
All staff were very helpful and friendly and spoke English very well. Theodorus was one of the many very helpful waiters. The reception staff and the cleaning staff were all excellent. The hotel was very clean and tidy.
The pools, beach - all great! Highly recommended.

My stay at Porto Carras during the end of the season was a serene escape. The spacious and modern room, complete with a balcony overlooking the tranquil ocean, was a highlight. The staff, especially in the lobby, were exceptionally helpful and accommodating. The buffet offered a diverse array of culinary delights, satisfying every palate. What made the experience even more enjoyable was the ample availability of beach chairs, ensuring relaxation by the water. Porto Carras provided a perfect blend of tranquility, comfort, and excellent service, making it a memorable and rejuvenating getaway.

Beautiful place, we were upgraded as it was our honeymoon.
Food was incredible,so much choice and all perfectly cooked.
Staff attentive & friendly. If you're all inclusive be sure to find out where you can food/drink and at what time of season as this varies.
Location was stunning 😍but beware, the beach is VERY course sharp sand and not as it looks in the photos.
30 minute walk along the beach to Neos marmaras, a small but beautiful town close by. Taxi boat back is a nice way to end a day there.

STAFF COULD BE A LITTLE MORE POLITE. THE ROOMS ARE NOT 5 STAR QUALITY AND WE HAD A FAMILY ROOM. YES IT WAS SPACIOUS . THE BATHROOMS NEED RENOVATION! OLD! BUT IT IS A VERY BIG HOTEL UNIT. THE GROUNDS ARE BEAUTIFUL AND THE SEA IS FANTASTIC! A HUGE CHILDRENS POOL. LIFEGUARDS ON DUTY. BEAUTIFUL VIEWS. OUR ROOM WAS THE GOLFC OURSE VIEW . NOTHING SPECIAL. BUT WE WERE OUT OF OUR ROOM ALL THE TIME. REMEMBER I AM BEING TOTALLY HONEST. SO I DON'T MEAN TO OFFEND ANYONE.OUR ROOM WAS UN MADE..A TOTAL MESS. WE WAITED UNTIL AFTER 11PM FOR OUR ROOM TO BE FINALLY CLEANED. NO APOLOGIES! UNACCEPTABLE! DEFINITELY NOT A 5 STAR HOTEL. WOULD NOT COME HERE AGAIN, NOR RECOMMEND FRIENDS TO COME HERE. KID'S WERE PLAYING SICCER IN THR HALLS AT 10:30 PM ON ROOM LEVEL! THE DOOR BELLS TO THE ROOMS DRIVE YOU CRAZY! NO QUIET AT ALL! 🔕 THE ROOMS ARE NOT SOUNDPROOF, AS YOU HEAR ALL THE NOISE ! TIRED AND FRUSTRATED! WASTED MONEY!

Unfortunately, had a terrible time during checkout with incomprehensible charges so downgraded to 2 stars. The amount wasn't even much, but took an hour for extra charges that were not made clear while checking in and threw a complete surprise during checkout. Very much ruined the whole experience for lousy €40, in spite of renting 5 rooms for multiple nights and 1 room for almost a month.
Can't punish rest of staff because of one or two bad apples, (or their policy) so still 3 stars. Originally was 5.
Anyways, below is the original post that was written the night before the checkout.
Nice stay overall. The room was spacious, and yes, it does show signs of age, but still comfortable. My biggest complaint was the bathroom, where it flooded every time after shower, as there were gap between the glass and the wall. Also, the drainage was a bit problematic and the soap dispensers did not work.
Anyways, don't expect Four Seasons or Ritz Carlton just becuse it is a 5 star hotel. It's a nice hotel, but in its own ways, not in the ways of Marriott or Hilton.
Staff were very friendly. I couldn't understand some of the negative comments in the reviews, as my interactions with the staff have been very positive. Treat people with respect and they will return the favor.
The beach area was adequate. Coarse sands, but it makes for a good foot massage. Up to a point. Strongly recommend a sandal, as walking barefoot might cause sore feet.
