Our recent stay at Hotel Paradisus in San Agustin, Gran Canaria, was absolutely phenomenal. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of exceptional. The Reserve experience at Hotel Paradisus is truly remarkable. It's like discovering a hidden oasis within an already breathtaking destination. The personalized service and meticulous attention to detail redefine luxury accommodation. Our Reserve suite was a sanctuary of elegance and comfort, beautifully blending modern sophistication with the island's charm. Every aspect of the interior design exceeded our expectations, providing a haven of serenity throughout our stay. The customer service at Hotel Paradisus deserves special commendation. Every staff member we encountered went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction. From the warm welcome at check-in to the attentive service by the poolside, their genuine care and professionalism were evident in every interaction. In conclusion, our stay at Hotel Paradisus was flawless. The Reserve experience, exceptional customer service, lovely food and breathtaking interior design combined to create an unforgettable vacation. We are already planning our next visit and eagerly anticipate returning to this luxurious retreat.

We had a great stay at Paradisus Meliá Gran Canaria. Room was great, the surroundings are beautiful and everything is spotless clean. Pool area is nice, and the beach is a few meters from the hotel. Good variety of restaurants, although it's a shame it can be hard to get tables at some and that all not are open every day. Staff sometimes forget orders at the restaurants or can't answer questions about food and wines - but they are all very nice and friendly so it's no big deal. The food itself is quite good, and the bars have a everything one could need - but vermouth. When in Spain it would be nice to have a spanish vermouth by the glass... The gym and spa is in perfect order and very nice. The hotel offers activities that are excellent (especially the hiking trip), but also wine tasting, candle making and - a bit surprising - stargazing at their own observatory. I haven't been to all of them of course, but I doubt you'll find a better hotel in Gran Canaria.

Don't go there... because you will never want to try other hotels. I've traveled a lot and been in many 5-star hotels, but this is above everything. Starting from the building - it's new, fresh, cozy, located at the clean beachfront with a nice 4km running promenade along the ocean. Service is illegal - it's too good to be true. Spain is known for lazy, slow, and bad customer service. Here - management did a great job. My applause, well done! Many restaurants to choose from, live music, great cocktails, and delicious food. If you book, then only ocean view. You get all-inclusive - it's totally stress-free. Great vacation for couples of families! Can't wait to stay there again. Thank you, Melia!

This is a beautiful hotel. It is very clean, modern and stylish. The staff are this hotel's 5 star asset. They all greet you with a smile and can't do enough for you. The food is very good and considering it is all inclusive the main restaurant is managed in a way that isn't a mad dart to fill your plate with as much as you can like alot of all -inclusive hotels. There are various nationality stations cooking individual meals ie Chinese, traditional etc. The desserts are behind glass counters and you request your choice instead of helping yourself which is much more hygienic. Staff serve you drinks and remove all crockery completely from your sight so you're not having to listen to the constant clatter of plates etc being piled up in the restaurant making the experience much more serene and relaxed. It's good to try the different restaurants available to you. The best, in our opinion, was The Pesata, which is Spanish traditional cuisine prepared by their Michelin star chef. The presentation was excellent. It was a taster menu and very tasty too. Unfortunately, the Italian restaurant was not a good experience, we found the food tasteless and cold. We found the Kanna restaurant food at lunchtime to be very tasty. The staff in the Ginger bar were absolutely charming. Our reason for giving a 4 overall rating was there is no Courtesy Room facility whatsoever, and, for people on evening flights there was nowhere to shower after vacating their room at midday. This facility is a must especially for a high quality 5* hotel as this. I have never experienced this in all my years of holidaying abroad. With regards to the room, which in our case was a Premium Ocean View room. Yes, the room itself was good as was the view but the balcony was very disappointing. It was far too small and no wider than the two uncomfortable deck chairs on it. Whenever we were in the room we found ourselves wheezing and coughing. We turned the air conditioning off after a number of days thinking it was that but it continued albeit to a lesser degree. We then decided there was something in the room that irritated our airways. Not sure what !! We were certainly far better in the open air. We did notice a lot of other guest seemed to have irritating coughs. Strange. If you enjoy watching UK tv in your room there is only one BBC News channel available to you, unlike other Canary Islands where there are several BBC programmes available. It is a very peaceful hotel and we had a relaxing 12 night stay.

Hotel has been decorated well and has a lovely vibe. Rooms are modern, clean and very spacious. The pool areas are a good size and there’s plenty of beds to pick from. Staff are also friendly and helpful. The al a carte restaurants are lovely and the food is of a very high quality. We particularly enjoyed the quality of food at paseta. It was also my wife’s bday and staff at the Italian restaurant (especially Aaron) went above and beyond and made the night so amazing and memorable. Huge thanks to the team there :) However, I sadly can’t rate higher than 4 star due to the following reasons. The Buffet restaurant is average. There is limited choice, same food daily and so Many of the food didn’t have a label so it feels like a bit of a lucky dip at times. The al a cart restaurants are much better but require bookings so if you can’t get a slot sadly you are stuck with the average buffet. For an all inclusive, it can be difficult to get a drink. At The main bar (ginger) you are unable to order at the bar so reliant on flagging down a waiter which can be difficult during busy times. During meals, including al a carte, you are only able to order beer wine or soft drinks. It would be nice to be order a cocktail or a spirit. Only on one day of the 5 we stayed was our water replaced in the room minibar. The night time entertainment is brilliant but abruptly ends at 10:30 which is very early and means there’s nothing to do after this time. The buffet closes at 10:30 so if you have had a late dinner sadly you have missed the night time entertainment! Also if you are a smoker this isn’t the resort for you. You can only smoke in one area of the resort which is no where near the pool area which isn’t ideal. I appreciate what the hotel is trying to do but it would be beneficial to have some more designated smoking areas throughout the resort. Overall I would stay again as more positives but definitely a few areas for enhancement
