The accommodations themselves were simply gorgeous. My room was spacious, elegantly decorated, and featured all the amenities I could possibly need or want. The bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom was spotlessly clean and well-stocked with plush towels and toiletries.
In addition to the beautiful rooms, the Metropolitan Hotel also had a wide range of fantastic amenities to enjoy.

I love the location. In very close proximity to beach, metro, a major mall and nearby to many good restaurants. Rooms though a little small are very cozily appointed. Service is superb. YUKI is super amazing. Knows my preferences and keeps the appropriate room and paperwork. Doesn’t take me more than a minute to check in. She is unbeatable. A great asset to the hotel

Well, I don't even know where to start! I paid around 3,800 AED for a three-night stay at this hotel due to an emergency. I also went for the full package with breakfast and food included, so I wouldn't have to worry about a thing. It was actually my first time staying at this hotel because I usually book elsewhere, but circumstances led me here. The location was convenient for the places I needed to visit. From the moment I arrived, the hotel staff gave me headaches. When I arrived at the valley with my car, I asked the guy where I could park and if the concierge could pick up my stuff from there. I didn't want to give my car to the valet, so I planned to park it myself. But then one of the staff members confirmed being able to send the concierge to the parking and gave me directions, telling me to take a right and then the first right. Clear directions right? That basically led me to the ground parking area, which the concierge doesn't handle. So I ended up walking to the hotel and calling the concierge. And guess what they said? They actually asked me to go back and park the car up myself! I had to express my disappointment and told them they didn't respect our culture. I mean, I had already walked a distance and after a long drive!
I had to be superly rude to their manager and to make things worse, they sent someone to grab my stuff without a concierge. But yeah job was done.
Moving on the second day, when I went to have breakfast, the eggs were the highlight and I really enjoyed them. However, when it came to dinner, it was a different story. The options were very limited and not satisfying at all. I noticed that the food lacked taste, especially on the first day. However, I must say that the buffet selection did improve in the following days. (Must admit only chefs were extremely kind, mixed nationalities) and I’m not racist all of the Indians there they brought hell to most of the guests, just to note i have really good Indian friends and i don’t mean to point anything but the fact how it showed a lot of comparisons from other hotels managed by all other nationalities…
Moreover and making it worse, I had a negative experience with the valet guys and security when my guest was being dropped off. They displayed rude behavior, which was quite disappointing. On another occasion, I had an emergency and needed to take my dinner with me since I wouldn't be at the hotel during dinner time.
When I called to ask if they could bring it to my room, they initially refused and asked me to take it from the restaurant, and I had to go all the way down to the restaurant to explain the situation again. It was frustrating to face resistance, especially considering it was an emergency and I had already paid for the meal. Yeah, they solved it at the end, how? By delivering the food to my room!
The overall service in the hotel, including the restaurants and their other amenities is very disappointing. I can go on forever.
Terrible behavior and they are great on making things really complicated on guests.
I'm currently on a business trip, and I had initially planned to check in after getting the sales numbers from the reception. Since the hotel is conveniently located near my business, I was hoping to negotiate around 50 nights for my department team. However, I don't want to let my team suffer. Coming from a background in hospitality, I must say that even a 3-star hotel in the UAE offers better services, moralities, and more flexibility with their guests. It's disappointing when a hotel doesn't meet our expectations, but it's important to prioritize the comfort and well-being of our team. To consider looking for another hotel that can provide a better experience. I'll definitely share my honest feedback in a review to help others make informed decisions.
Honest opinion, this hotel is not worth it
Book somewhere else.

Stayed here in November for 7 nights on a family trip and honestly had a really good time. The room was spacious and clean and the AC was working well (saw it was a frequent complaint by other guests but i guess it depends on the time of year).
The concierge and reception staff is helpful and they do have an option for a free shuttle to Dubai Mall and one beach but it is only once per day in a 8 seater van, so good luck :)
The rooftop pool had great views and was generally not busy. We did not try any of the restaurants but the breakfast buffet was good.

attended a wedding reception at this Hotel.
We were impressed with the ambience and decor of the Hall.
The drinks counter was well served by a professional Barman. The chaat counter was equally well served by professionals.
The Buffet spread was very good, tasty, varied and well laid out. The waiters were nimble footed and were quick to serve the finger food ,prior to the Buffet.
All in all we enjoyed the evening.
