A week in Ikos Andalusia with a toddler and we feel like we’ve had a holiday. Wasn’t sure what to expect with an all inclusive but they’ve set a high bar. Given a week at this place is likely to set you back £4-5k though, you’d hope they would!
If there was a 4.5 star review option that would be more accurate but I can’t quite bring myself to give it 4 stars. The place is big enough and well equipped enough for a lovely week away but make no mistake, there are A LOT of families with young kids (there are adult kids not areas though). The service is exceptional, loved the very convenient WhatsApp concierge, can sometimes go a bit overboard when you’ve been asked 6 times how the meal is though. The heated pools are fantastic (especially the toddler and family pools) and the amenities like bike hire and buses to Estepona are fab. The room was clean and spacious with a lovely balcony, day bed and well stocked bathrooms.
The breakfast, lunch and dinner buffet options at Flavours were very well catered and generally great food but we found the restaurants rather hit and miss. Ouzo and Seasons were the best options but the food at Fresco was not good at all. I wouldn’t say it was 5* or Michelin starred food. I’m also being pedantic here but the alcohol free options are a bit limited which is surprising given every other woman there seemed to be pregnant. The beach is also a little disappointing, very pebbly and rocky. I guess that’s not entirely within their control but I think they photoshop some images to make it look like golden sands which it is not.
I’d recommend it but just be a bit more honest about what you get for the price than how they sell it.

We have just arrived home from a 7 night stay here and we had a fabulous family holiday with our 11 month old. We stayed in a deluxe one bedroom suite which was lovely, we love staying deluxe to utilise the benefits. Food was excellent, drinks great and all pool areas are fabulous. Special thanks to Dennis for ensuring our stay was perfect. Dora, being on hand for service by the deluxe pool. Flor from deluxe team for assisting us with requests. Sandra was fabulous in the spa. The team made a huge fuss of our baby, who throughly enjoyed the attention and the holiday, she didn’t want to leave!
I would recommend ikos hotels to couples and families, there’s something for everyone!

Fantastic facilities and set up. However, massively let down by inability to be able to adapt food menu’s to cater for coeliac needs. Also mixed messaging of what is available from room service menu for breakfast and nothing is labelled with allergy warnings. We had continuous food issues

Fantastic staff and service! The food options are great and very tasty. There are a lots of activities for all the family. The pools were heated in October and that was very good. The only thing is about food and drinks wastage, there should introduce some sort of control to help improving the quality of some food ingredients.

We’re a recurring Ikos guest - which says a lot. 2018 @ Oceania, 2019 @ Aria, 2020/21 Covid stopped us, 2022 @ Aria and now 2023 @ Andalusia.
And we were not once disappointed.
If you look for a real luxury AI experience in Europe, for families, without being a (loud and overcrowded) family hotel, the this group is your choice. Full stop.
We likes that at Andalusia everything is closer together than in the other resorts, making the ways shorter. But at the same time, even though the hotel was full, it was never crowded. An unbelievable number of great pool, bars and restaurants did ease it.
There’s a few we want to mention particularly, although EVERYONE was great!
Fefi @ Provence, extremely friendly, helpful, very caring about my allergies and as well funny;
Celeste @ Checkin, making this a great start and taking care of us;
Mihailo @ Fresco, very caring, practicing his German and accommodating;
Vasilis and George @ Adult Cocktail Bar, they’re not just making awesome drinks, but are very social and nice to chat with;
Konstantina @ Beach Club, making us feel really beloved guests;
Konstantinos @ Anaya, at our daughters birthday party, making sure she feels like a little princess;
Rodrigo @ Pool bar, had a cocktail learning lesson with our daughter and she loved it;
Sophia @ Olivia, making sure there was no wish left open, even organized cinnamon for the churros;
Maria (Supervisor) @ Fresco, fixing the forgotten birthday party for our daughter, making sure it felt like planned;
The Whole water sports team on the beach, where we did a 1h jetski tour; we felt safe and they really accommodated us very well
And big thanks as well to Timoleon the general manager. He recognized something small went wrong and took care himself to fix it. Thank you.
