Recommended highlybfor families. Staff are fantastic and go over and above to ensure you have a great stay. Food is good, fairly repetitive but most all inclusive are. Drinks a big let down for adults and kids, however the coffee is great. Gouves is very run down so don't expect much off site. Lots of stray animals which is very disappointing to see In this day and age, i fed them most days and most tourists do.

Excellent holiday for children only. Not really any evening entertainment for families. Rooms are ok. Could do with chest of drawers in all rooms and an extra wardrobe in the bigger rooms, especially when sharing as a non couple. Facilities are excellent, exceptionally clean, and staff are wonderful. Lots of pools around and quiet areas away from kids pools. Water is absolutely freezing. I wish they were heated. There are plenty of excursions, book directly with them and not with on-site reps as they are doubling the costs. Spinalonga trip was around €40 direct, jet 2 rep wanted €82 big difference. The beach is amazing. Everything on hand, i.e., toilets, drinks fresh fruit. Can't really fault much on this resort, its not a place for a couple to come to without children.

Not a 5star hotel even, but they charge an extra £10 a night tax for a5star! Even if you pay all inclusive your drinks are not really included only the food. No branded drinks like Coca Cola Fanta ect, also if you drink beer you will have to pay for that can’t even get Heineken or mythos (Greek beer) for free on all inclusive, you get a mini bar in your room with 4 bottles water and a couple of none branded fizzy drinks, that’s supposed to be restocked every 2 days, after 4 days I had to ask 3 times for it to be restocked as it wasn’t done since the day we got here, there is nothing in the area it like the middle of a construction site, we had to get a taxi which is about 15 mins away from a beach front, the beach here smells like sewage. The only positives are the food is ok and if you get a swim up room. If we didn’t have the swim up room I’d have booked a different hotel the day I got here or booked the next flight home. Also the shop on the hotel will make up prices every day, my boyfriend had been buying 4 cans of Heineken every day for 12 euros then one day she tried to charge him 20 euros for 4 cans of beer. And when u get 1 meal for free in the al carte restaurant u drinks are also extra charge there to. So if u come here on all inclusive expect to pay for drinks.

Arrived at Gouves hotel, the staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful. We had the family swim up room and was definitely the best choice we made, no fussing over sun beds and we were located in a great spot! The rooms were spotless and well maintained, the same said for the surrounding areas such as the pools and food areas. A range of different food however all inclusive got a bit repetitive. Loads of pools, slides, splashpark, football areas and kids club so kids are kept entertained. The entertainment at night was disappointing, unsure if this is down to it being early in the season but nothing much happening at night. The location isn’t great either apart from the airport being about 20 mins away and a 5 minute walk from the beach but that’s it. There’s nothing in the surrounding area no bars or restaurants so would suggest hiring a car to go further afield. We did walk approx 25 minutes to the Crete aquarium on an overcast day and that was a great hour out. Overall hotel/experience was great.

We have just returned from 7 nights all inclusive. My children are 7 & 10 and we got everything we asked for a fantastic family holiday! The food was brilliant something for everyone in the restaurant lots of variation. The snack bars were brilliant big shout out to Pablo the chicken & pork Gyros king! great service and sense of humour! To be honest the waitresses/ waiters, bar staff, reception welcome, bag carrier and to forget the cleaners and mini bar refiller were all so friendly and did a great job! I have to say the cleaners were none stop and it really showed. But most of all the activities team who I joined every morning at 10.30 for stretching, yoga & Pilates. Other activities Aqua gym and Zumba classes too along with water polo were daily! Football, shows every night at 9.30pm. They practiced every night after this entertainment for their big show on a Saturday and worked so hard. We had a magician, men vs women, bingo, disco rave, quiz. If you want to chill and have some family time head for main bar to play uno & blackjack along with enjoying the cocktails. None alcoholic ones for the kids too! have to give the location a star less and this is due to the surrounding area not being very attractive at all on arrival. BUT a short walk down to the beach which is lovely €8 for two loungers and an umbrella, 15 minutes transfer from the airport, the planes constantly fly over but we really enjoyed watching them and they did not disturb us.
The apartment it self we stayed in 3212 had a separate bedroom with twin beds for the kids we all had plenty of space. Mini bar in room-too with water and pop for the children filled regular along with a kettle and tea bags/ coffee ect.
We did go to aquarium on a dull day about 20 min walk and €36 for the family so reasonable and we all enjoyed it. But other than that they’re only super markets and the odd food place so if you’re looking for something where you can wonder about on an evening Youl have to get transport.
Fab place for families and children of all ages! Oh and no sun bed fights yayyyyy!
