Discover the wild wonders of South Africa on a once-in-a-lifetime safari experience amidst the captivating wilderness of the world-famous Kruger National Park. Seek out the legendary ‘Big Five’ of lions, leopards, black rhinoceros, elephant and buffalo during thrilling game drives and immerse yourself in the rugged natural scenery all around. You’ll be treated to evening meals under the stars sitting beside a blazing campfire and get the chance to enjoy a selection of optional excursions (additional charges apply). Your 3-night adventure also includes a scintillating journey along the majestic Panorama Route, visiting God’s Window, the Three Rondavels, Blyde River Canyon and Bourke’s Luck Potholes. With untamed beauty and breathtaking wildlife everywhere you look, your South African Safari will be an experience that will be remembered forever.
You will begin your safari adventure by being collected from your hotel with your destination the Mpumalanga region, Mpumalanga meaning ‘the place where the sun rises’ in Zulu. On arrival at your lodge, you will get time to freshen up before heading into the legendary Kruger National Park to enjoy an afternoon spotting game in a closed touring vehicle. You will get an insight into the challenges of managing the vast reserve and have the opportunity to see some of the world’s most iconic animals in their natural habitat. On returning to the lodge, you will be treated to an open-air Boma dinner around the campfire.

Following an early morning coffee or tea, you will venture out into Kruger National Park for an unforgettable open-vehicle game drive, which includes a pre-packed breakfast. You will be accompanied by an English-speaking game ranger, who will guide your safari and endeavour to seek out members of the ‘Big Five’, along with a myriad of other wondrous animal and bird life. After a thrilling game drive, there is an opportunity to enjoy an optional excursion of a visit to the Kruger Park Anti-Poaching Dog Unit (additional charge, booking required, subject to availability). On your return to the lodge, you will get the chance to unwind prior to an afternoon game drive. Setting off in a closed touring vehicle, you will get another chance to enjoy the breathtaking species of flora and fauna that live in Kruger National Park. Optional open-vehicle games drives are available at an additional cost. When you return to the lodge, dinner will be served outdoors around the campfire.

Learn all about the constant battle to protect the precious and often endangered wildlife in Kruger National Park during a visit to the Kruger National Park Anti-Poaching Dog Unit (Project Watchdog). You will meet the highly trained dogs and find out how they track poachers and detect firearms, ammunition and wildlife products entering or leaving the Kruger National Park gates.
A share of the excursion cost goes towards the care of the dogs and supporting the vital work of the unit.
After finishing breakfast you will set off to discover the jaw-dropping scenery that awaits along South Africa’s breathtaking Panorama Route. You’ll be treated to awe-inspiring vistas, glorious landscapes and exhilarating waterfalls during visits to spots such as God’s Window, Blyde River Canyon, which is home to the Three Rondavels, and Bourke’s Luck Potholes. You will also get to stop at the delightful town of Graskop, the location of one of South Africa’s first gold mining camps. Optional open-vehicle games drives are available at an additional cost if you do not wish to experience the Panorama Route tour. On your return to the lodge in the evening, you will enjoy a Boma dinner under the stars.

On completion of breakfast, you will set off back to Johannesburg. You will arrive at OR Tambo International Airport, in Johannesburg, at approximately 2.30pm, at which time the tour concludes.
