We stayed at this hotel for two weeks, all-inclusive, and honestly, it was a bit of a mixed bag. The staff were absolutely brilliant — always smiling, super helpful, and really went out of their way to make sure we were looked after. They were the highlight of our stay. The food was generally good, but unfortunately, I ended up with a bad stomach (sickness and diarrhea), which meant we had to cancel some of our plans. Not ideal when you’re on holiday. It was nice to have bottled water in the room every day, though. Our room was spacious and kept clean, with fresh towels daily, which we appreciated. But the beds and mattresses really need updating — they’re old, worn out, and not very comfortable, which made it hard to get a good night’s sleep. The air conditioning worked well, but a huge downside was the constant smell of cigarette smoke coming through the vents. As non-smokers, this was awful. By the end of the holiday, all of our clothes smelled of smoke, which was really frustrating and completely unacceptable. What really let the place down for us was the constant noise. If it wasn’t drunk guests shouting and banging around in the corridors at night, it was the housekeepers rattling their cleaning carts up and down the halls all day. There was no chance of an afternoon nap, and getting a peaceful night's sleep was a struggle. In short, we had some good moments thanks to the amazing staff, but the noise, smoke smells, and uncomfortable beds really affected our overall experience. It’s a shame, because with a few improvements, this could be a much better hotel.

This is my 3rd year to come to this hotel and it’s AMAZING. The staff are really friendly and all the staff smile not like another hotel that i went to even though it was 5 stars and the staff were rude and not friendly at all. The food taste nice. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The hotel also provides buses to the beach, neama bay and old market. Also the animation team is amazing every year. You will feel good vibes and relax here.

The hotel itself is lovely, and the reception staff were especially helpful throughout our stay. They were always cheerful and ready to assist with any questions, including travel advice, money exchange, and general enquiries. A special mention to the taxi reception team who were consistently welcoming and informative. -The hotel also offers free shuttle bus rides to Old Town/ Nama bey alongside coral & sandy beach which various times which I think is such a bonus One of the standout features was the access to a 24/7 doctor, which offered real peace of mind. We had an issue with mosquito bites, and the reception team were quick to help – they gave us two room sprays and even contacted the doctor on our behalf. That level of care was truly appreciated. Entertainment was varied and enjoyable, with different activities daily such as music, table tennis, and darts. However, since our room was near the entertainment area, the noise was quite loud when we were trying to relax indoors. Thankfully, the quiet pool area provided a nice escape. Unfortunately, the biggest letdown was the food. For an all-inclusive hotel, the options were very limited. The meat dishes were often dry and lacking in flavour, and there was a noticeable absence of variety, especially with fruit – only certain days offered watermelon or melon. Like other guests, I experienced some stomach upset from the food, which meant I didn’t really get my money’s worth in that area.

I visited the hotel. Y4May2025 As a Guest Relation working in the hospitality field, I had the opportunity to stay at Express St. George Hotel, and I was truly impressed by the high standards of service and hospitality. The staff were exceptionally professional and friendly, the rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was both delicious and varied. The overall atmosphere was calm and welcoming, with engaging entertainment activities that added to the guest experience. I highly recommend this hotel as a great example of quality and care in every detail.

Spent 16 days here. Pros: Wonderful staff. Warm swimming pool. Great food with enough variety for this period of stay provided you are happy to eat a range of food Nice room and good shower Loved the coral beach reached by free shuttle Cons: Difficult to get away from the smell of smoke anywhere except the main restaurant. We would definitely go back if it weren't for this. Really irritating that towels go out on sun beds before 7 am and stay there all day while some were only occupied for and hour or so. We were unlucky with our room as it was pretty much the closest to the entertainment tent with very loud music from 8-10 pm. Not a problem if you are not early to bedders like us. It did finish promptly by 10 though and no other noise on the resort.
