Went for IBS, checked in Tuesday and originally was meant to check out Thursday but we moved hotels mid day Wednesday. This place is below standards in room cleanliness, features, and service. Phones didn't work in both rooms (so you cant complain to guest services unless you call the automated robot line or wait in line at the front desk) Bathroom in first room floor was visibly wet (from what??). OK. Laminate peeling on the edges, you walk in and its spongey. They will send maintenance to fix this and argue with you about a new room after you have checked in saying other guests are accepting similar accommodations because of how booked they are. Once they relent and give you a new room- it won't be what you reserved. After trying to make you feel bad about being so booked, when you get to your room you'll see the lots mostly empty and plenty of rooms are ready for occupancy. Bathroom in second unit had hair on the ceiling and the shower was hot, water pressure was poor. Romel was rude and dismissive, which is surprising as his name tag said guest relations director. Kimberly was much more pleasant. Would never stay here again and will be disputing the second days resort fees as we were checked in for a grand total of 16 hours in this nightmare. According to Romel, its standard practice to deny any refunds and encouraged me to handle it with my bank (to be clear- was just looking for the resort fee not the extra day I was leaving on the table to keep sanity and leave this place). A warning to anyone considering spending money here, I am not the only one with issues lol looks like I should have checked the reviews!

Currently staying at the Wyndham I-Drive Avanti Resort with 2 adults and 2 kids in a double queen room, and unfortunately this has been one of the most frustrating hotel experiences we’ve had. We checked in late Friday night, and I will say the check-in process itself was smooth. There was only one person ahead of me, and the front desk staff worked together to get us checked in quickly, which I appreciated. However, once we got to the room, we realized there was no hot water. We called the front desk and were told maintenance was working on something and it would take about 45 minutes for the system to cycle. We eventually took showers later that night. The biggest issue during our stay has been housekeeping and basic towel service. Saturday morning around 8:30 AM, I called requesting fresh towels and washcloths because what was in the room was not enough for 4 people. I was placed on hold, the call dropped, I called back, made the request again, and was told someone would bring them. We left the room around 10:30 AM and still had no towels. We returned after midnight… still no towels. I called the front desk again that night and explained I had requested towels since that morning. I was then told they did not have anyone available to bring them to the room. Sunday morning, I called again around 8 AM requesting towels and washcloths, and by 10 AM still no one had come. Every single day of our stay, before 4 PM, I requested towels and washcloths not even full housekeeping service and no one has come to the room to refresh anything. Trash has not been removed, sheets have not been changed, and we have not seen housekeeping carts or staff in the hallways at all. What makes this even more frustrating is finding the housekeeping policy in the room stating that “Room Refresh Services” include towel replacement, trash removal, amenities, and bed making upon request before 4 PM. We followed those instructions repeatedly and still received no service. For a family of 4 staying multiple days, this has been extremely disappointing and inconvenient. The location is great, but the lack of housekeeping support and communication has really affected our stay.

I’ve stayed here before and would probably stay again. For what I need, the location is great, especially as it’s mainly just a crash pad for me after long days out at the parks. The pool area was really nice — clean, relaxing, and a good place to chill out after a busy day. The room I had in the tower was large and clean, which was a big plus. That said, the hotel is definitely starting to show its age a little. There were marks on the floor, and the bathroom was looking a bit tired and in need of some updating. Overall though, for the price I paid, I can’t really complain. It does the job well, and I’d happily stay again.

I stayed at this resort from May 1st–May 4th and unfortunately had a pretty disappointing experience overall. My stay was split into two reservations: one booked through Priceline from May 1st–3rd and another booked directly through the hotel for May 3rd–4th. Before arriving, I specifically called to extend the stay and was told everything would be seamless and that the card on file would simply be charged for the additional night. However, when we checked in on May 1st, we were only told about the resort/amenity fees and nothing was explained regarding the second reservation, payment process, or needing to reactivate our room keys. On May 3rd, after spending the entire day walking around Universal Studios, we came back late at night exhausted only to find that our room keys no longer worked. At first, we genuinely worried our belongings may have been removed from the room because no one had explained anything to us beforehand. We then had to go all the way back to the front desk late at night to get entirely new room keys and unexpectedly pay an additional $170+ charge for the room, which I thought was handled already when initially calling to book the extra night, or this also could have easily been handled or communicated clearly during our original check-in. The whole situation felt unnecessarily stressful and poorly coordinated. On top of that, the room itself was not very clean. There were strange stains on some of the furniture and floors, and housekeeping does not automatically clean your room unless you reserve housekeeping services 24 hours in advance, which also was not clearly explained to us. The WiFi connection was not working, I had to use my hotspot the entire trip to do my work. The one positive was that I did enjoy the pools and some of the resort amenities, which were nice and helped make the trip somewhat enjoyable. But overall, between the cleanliness issues, communication problems, room key confusion, and surprise charges, I personally would not stay here again.

The pool is their main plus here. Amazing pool! The rooms are a bit neglected, meaning, the exhaust fan doesn't work along with the in room phone(5107). The shower curtain is to small so water has a chance of spilling out onto the floor. We are not picky people so none of that matters to us, especially for the budget price. The hotel fills up with locals and some of them do not respect the "please be quiet after 10pm" rule. The bars are close and on the weekend they are very loud and you hear the bass from their music until they close. The staff is friendly and they do their best to meet your needs.
