From the moment we arrived, the hospitality at The Westin Turtle Bay Resort & Spa stood out. **Kaushal** welcomed us at reception with refreshing drinks and a cool towel while we completed our check‑in on an iPad. He also gave us a clear overview of the resort’s facilities, including the restaurants, pool bars, and swimming pools. Throughout our stay, **Kaushal** was exceptional — any small negative we experienced, he addressed and resolved immediately, which made a huge difference to our overall experience. The resort’s **location is incredible**, set along a quiet stretch of Turtle Bay with beautiful ocean views and lush greenery all around. Our suite overlooked the main pool area with a partial but stunning view of the turquoise water — peaceful, relaxing, and exactly what you want from a Mauritian getaway. Housekeeping was exceptional. Our suite was serviced twice daily, and the team ensured the minibar, snacks, tea/coffee station, and bottled water were always fully stocked. **Raja** at **The Retreat Bar**. He was warm, friendly, and incredibly skilled — mixing a variety of cocktails and mocktails, along with serving delicious fried taro root bites. His service, along with the entire Retreat Bar team, was outstanding. **Naas** and his colleagues at the **Pool Bar** were equally fantastic, always ensuring guests stayed well‑hydrated and comfortable. ### 🍽️ Dining **Seasonal Tastes** was a highlight, with beautifully presented breakfast and dinner buffets and attentive staff. **Kangan** offered rich, flavourful Indian dishes with great vegetarian options. **Fusion** delivered a refined blend of Mauritian and Asian flavours. **The Beach Grill** was perfect for relaxed beachfront lunches with friendly service. ### ☕ Mystique Afternoon tea at Mystique wasn’t quite what we expected, as we were used to a buffet-style setup. We eventually noticed a small pancake stand, and apparently additional options can be ordered — something we may have missed during the initial orientation. Thankfully, **Kaushal** stepped in and ensured everything was clarified and handled. ### 🏝️ Extras The reception area has a digital display showing daily activities, which is very useful, though we only explored it on the day of checkout. A thoughtful touch came from **Rozia** in housekeeping, who surprised us with a beautifully crafted elephant made from towels and flowers — a small gesture that made a big impression. ### 🌺 Final Thoughts The resort is large, with far too many highlights to list. It’s truly a place you need to experience firsthand. The hospitality from every staff member we encountered — **Kaushal**, **Michelle**, **Roshan**, **Raja**, **Naas**, **Rozia**, and many others — made our stay memorable. We will definitely be back.

The Westin Turtle Bay is a true oasis of tranquility – a dreamlike property with a beautifully maintained estate. While the building itself is slightly older, it is well cared for and exudes a charming character that perfectly complements the serene atmosphere. During our stay, we experienced a minor water issue in the room due to heavy rainfall. The staff responded immediately and resolved it with great professionalism, which speaks volumes about the hotel’s excellent service standards. The team here deserves special praise: consistently friendly, attentive, and genuinely helpful. After several hotel stops across Mauritius, we felt particularly welcomed and valued at this property. Breakfast is simply outstanding – varied, fresh, and of exceptional quality. The drinks are equally superb, adding the perfect finishing touch to the culinary experience. Conclusion The Westin Turtle Bay impresses with its well-kept grounds, heartfelt hospitality, and high level of service. Even small challenges are handled swiftly and with care, ensuring guests feel completely at ease. We would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel and look forward to returning.

Friendly staff but lazy service, made up rooms very late every day and didn't clean the bathrooms properly, while some restaurant staff excelled and others lacked service ethic completely,food and restaurants really good and chefs outstanding,hotel was lovely, Xmas day was fantastic all round, need a functional pool towel service at the poolside as clean towels were in high demand. Otherwise a great 2 weeks. Rooms a bit dated and poor lighting in bedroom.

The location is absolutely stunning! The staff was amazingly friendly, the food was delicious and the deco was so so beautiful! Housekeeping did an excellent job keeping our room clean as well!! A special thank you to Kavi, Jameel, Chris, Lebon, Yoan, Vedou, Nass and Dylan they are all such exceptional hosts!! Will definitely visit again as we made friends that’s are now our family!! I really didn’t want to leave!! Keep up the 5 star treatment you guys are just the best!! 💖💐🤗

We stayed at The Westin Turtle Bay Resort for 1 week in November. Overall it was a great time, and we had a nice week. I would say this is a very good 4 star or a very low 5 star hotel for the following reasons: Pros - Very beautiful location, right on the water with several beach access points. Clean and bright property. - Large room, comfortable bed - Easy parking - Diverse breakfast buffet - Kind and helpful hotel staff - Efficient and skilled cleaning staff Cons - Slightly run down room with broken toilet paper holder, little rusty looking in the corners. - Staff don't quite reach 5 star standards yet. Could have better personalized care. Had some delays and forgetfulness around requests. Some individuals were brilliant, others not as much. Saw some staff members playing video games in the games room on break I'm assuming. Good enough for 4 star hotels but not fully at 5 star level. This Westin is a great vacation property but not fully on a 5 star level yet. But don't let that stop you from enjoying a holiday here.
