My wife Leslie and I just returned from an incredible stay at the brand-new W Punta Cana resort, and overall it was a fantastic experience. The resort itself is stunning. The design is modern and vibrant while still feeling luxurious, and the oceanfront setting is spectacular. Our suite had beautiful views, a spacious layout, and one of the most comfortable hotel beds we’ve slept in. I also want to mention the food. For several months preceding our visit, we constantly saw reviews blasting the culinary department. I will tell you that almost every meal we had was outstanding. So clearly the management got the message and resolved those issues What truly made the stay special, though, was the staff. The level of service was consistently warm, genuine, and attentive throughout our visit. A special thank-you to Esther Maldonado, who not only helped arrange an incredible private tasting dinner experience for us, but also acted as our personal insider throughout the trip. Her attention to detail, responsiveness, and genuine care made a tremendous difference. Quite honestly, this trip would not have been what it was without her. Because the resort is so new, there were a few finishing issues in our room— significant paint splatter throughout the room and bathroom (including our tub) and a few other small details that showed the hotel was rushing to open. Nothing that ruined our stay, but it was noticeable. That said, if management addresses those minor finishing touches quickly, this property has the potential to become one of the best luxury resorts in Punta Cana. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would absolutely return. I hope the leadership team recognizes the outstanding work of Esther and the staff who helped make our visit so memorable. We look forward to seeing how this beautiful property continues to evolve.

The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are amazing, the beach is great (big waves & windy), the food was impeccable! The alcohol served was all top of the line brands, so the drinks were great. The transfer from airport to hotel is 45-50 minute drive. Room service was slow always a 45 minute or longer wait. It was a little hard finding all the restaurants. The “chill pool” with the swim up bar (shout out to the bartender 007 he’s great) should have a bathroom closer by though. You had to walk a good 10 minutes to the closest bathroom. Also the infinity pool aka “wet deck” should be called the chill pool because it was more chill than the actual chill pool which was more of a party/fun pool. We got a couple mosquito bites but not enough to complain about or ruin our trip. The first night we got there it was a Wednesday the speakeasy wasn’t great. Not many people were there but by Friday & Saturday the speakeasy was bumping and so much fun! Baby A always had something fun for the crowd to do if you did find yourself “bored”. The resort is great, I’d definitely recommend!

I had such a fantastic time at the resort. It’s was President’s weekend in the US so there were too many Americans…but it was fine. The staff really make an effort to make sure you have a good time. The scheduled activities I attended were fun and the vibes from the quiet pool to the fun pool were amazing. The food is also really good - I had not been to an all inclusive in over 10 years because I generally didn’t think it was worth it but at this resort definitely worth it (and Adults only!) Can’t wait to go back!

Spent 6 days at this great resort! First time staying at an all inclusive, was a bit apprehensive but this first offering from the W did not disappoint. The resort itself is stunning and rooms were well appointed and bathrooms spacious and well thought out. The food in all outlets was delicious and inventive. Our favourite was Noodle Bar for dinners and lunch by the beach at Taman for their ceviche and sea food rice. For coffee snobs the outpost cafe served delicious barista made coffee all throughout the day Activities were interesting and plentiful with a nod to the local culture. We were lucky enough to stay during Independence Day festivities. Finally, the service was top notch especially in the bars and restaurants. Shout out to Lucia at Noodle bar with her great service and recommendations and Baby A and China who ran the activities

Location is far away from everything. For a Marriott property, we were extremely disappointed. Nothing to do but pool and beach. Surf current is so bad its dangerous to swim in water. Locals solicit you to pay for activities. Nothing provided for an all inclusive but room, beverages and food. Food is questionable. We got sick 2 days out of 5 we were there. Limited restaurants and they make you cover up at poolside dining. Service for drinks by pool is horrible. Cleaning service in room didnt stock supplies. Room services takes over hour. Dont get chicken or pizza. Wasn't cooked and made us really ill. If it wasn't for company trip with promotion company there's nothing to do. No taxis or motor bikes to get anywhere. Front desk discourages leaving property. Very overpriced for quality of food and amenities you receive. Its 2 star at best. Very disappointing for a new Marriott location.
