Having stayed at various resorts in the Maldives, I can say that W Maldives has a distinguished vibe compared to others. While most resorts focus on relaxation and water activities, W feels more like a place to party. The atmosphere is high-energy, the staff is incredibly cheerful, and it feels like making new friends. Even if you travel to W alone, you’ll never feel lonely—you'll leave with 300 new friends. I had a fantastic time thanks to staff members like Ciske and Dream at Kitchen, Lin at Fish, and Mark at the Gym. I also want to thank the engineer who kindly explained the desalination process to me, and the photographer who took such amazing photos. It was so much fun chatting with everyone and hearing their interesting stories. I also enjoyed learning about Bangladesh from a Bangladeshi staff member and chatting about K-dramas with someone I met in the lobby; I only wish I could remember everyone's names! ​Regarding the underwater world, honestly, it wasn't the absolute best I've ever seen, but it still ranks among the top-tier natural environments in the Maldives. The gentle slope of the reef and the calm waves made snorkeling feel very safe, so I think it would be a great spot for families with children. Plus, we can easily spot turtles, sharks, and schools of sardines. Big thanks again to all the staff for making our stay so pleasant—and I look forward to the day we meet again.

The W Maldives is absolutely incredible! From the moment we arrived, the service was top notch. The staff were so attentive and personable, they even knew our names which made us feel so special! A special thank you to Dream, she’s amazing. Every meal we had at the restaurants was excellent, and the food was just delicious. And the hotel along with our over water villa was breathtaking. Seriously, the views and accommodations were out of this world. Plus exploring the house reef was amazing - the fish and sharks were incredible to see up close. It was truly an unforgettable experience! Every walk around the resort is like your in an aquarium with fish, small reef sharks and stingrays in the reef. We truly appreciated the upgrade we received as Marriott gold elite members, along with the late checkout as thankfully the hotel was not fully booked. 10/10. The best hotel we have ever stayed in.

A special thank you goes to Arsham and Sunnee who catered to our every wish with incredible attentiveness and genuine charm. This level of kindness and commitment is truly extraordinary! Nur impressed us daily with stories from his home while his warmth made us feel welcome at all times. Aiham and Axym constantly surprised us with a smile and excellent recommendations. They were outstanding. Thank you to Dana for organizing and preparing everything for us! You did a great job! Another amazing experience was the photo shoot with Zee, who took great photos of us! Thank you, Zee, for the beautiful photos and the friendly and relaxed shoot! Also, the nurse shark snorkeling was a once-in-a-lifetime experience! You could feel at all times that the staff genuinely love what they do and are passionate about creating exceptional experiences for their guests. The service was on a level that can only be described as flawless: fast, discreet, highly personal, and always incredibly friendly. Whether in the restaurants, at the bar or in the villa, we were welcomed everywhere with a smile and treated to impeccable service. At the W Maldives the heartfelt service transforms a luxury hotel into something absolutely unique. We will definitely be back – and are already looking forward to seeing the amazing team again. At the end of the stay, we were standing there in tears because we were so touched by Wasantha's, Sunnee's and Arsham's kind words and gestures. We have been to quite a handful of the very best hotels in the world but we have never experienced this level of heartfelt, genuine service before! An outstanding experience from start to finish. At W Maldives, the customer is truly at the center of everything, with an exceptional level of attention and genuine customer centricity. Everything was perfect: the food was delicious in all restaurants, the spa experience was excellent, and the reception, housekeeping, and airport check-in were all seamless and highly professional. The service throughout the resort was extremely kind, warm, and attentive. The scuba diving experience was exceptional, with outstanding dive sites and a highly professional team. Special thanks to Adel, our instructor during our stay, whose expertise, calm attitude, and attentiveness made every dive both safe and unforgettable. A very special shout-out to Chef Bakka and his team for the exceptional food experience and their remarkable attention to detail, which truly elevated our stay. Special thanks as well to Honda, who was incredibly kind, very attentive, and gave us an exceptionally warm welcome at the restaurant.

Wow. This was the best hotel stay I've ever experienced. Of course, the location is amazing upon one of the best house reefs in the Maldives and the recent renovations have left the grounds stunning and up to date, but what really sets this property apart is the incredible staff. These individuals from all over the world consistently displayed an unreasonable hospitality that truly differentiated this stay from other luxury experiences. I could give shoutouts to many staff members, but here are a selection: Nich, who welcomed us virtually ahead of time and warmly upon arrival, overseeing the overall experience curation. Rabiya, the fruit ninja who saw what we liked and proactively delivered it at breakfast each day along with some surprises to try. Silva and Manu, whose jokes and kind gestures made Sip the place to be in the evening. Ara and Simba, who would brighten our day at breakfast or at the pool bar bringing all sorts of fun treats like juice shots and sorbets. Chef Baka who cooked Michelin level tasting menus for us at Fish with a big smile, and Aquaman who provided the best service and marine insights while we enjoyed our meal. Hameedh, who cleaned our room immaculately and thoughtfully executed turn down service each day leaving several suprises, most notably an incredible birthday decor setup. Steffi at the spa who brought us homemade lemon ginger tea when she noticed we were under the weather. Adel, who was so patient with all my questions during our scuba refresher and took great care of us on our dives. Mark, who brought all the energy to fitness classes. Overall, I highly recommend this property if you're looking for a fun, lively atmosphere. The vibes are great. The location can't be beat. Snorkeling right off our villa felt like an underwater movie.
