Was a great place to get away with friends & family! Food was good, buffet was always stocked with lots of variety. Not great, but consistent. Al a Cartes were also good, Italian, Mexican & Tapinyaki Restaurant (hibachi tables) were a great evening/eating experience! Beach is beautiful and you can walk for miles in both directions! Resort grounds were very well maintained. Rooms were basic but clean! If there was one thing I could change, it would be the pillows. Very lumpy! Pools could be cleaned a little more often and earlier (but all good). We are early risers and had to sit around and wait until 7am before you could get coffee anywhere! Would be nice if the lobby bar was open earlier or had a help yourself coffee station! Internet was very spotty...very hard to find a consistent connection and no chance in the evenings when everyone was in the lobby area trying to connect! Don't count on having a good connection.
English was the minority language here and it was sometimes very hard to communicate with staff. (Not judging, I know we are in a different country, just stating the facts). Lots of Europeans, French especially.
I am not sure I would go back here, but I don't regret this trip at all! Lots of fun had by all!! It was a good getaway!

An experience to remember. Room 1111 smells like raw sewerage. We had rat visit us in the middle of the night. My friend woke me up at 2:30 in the morning because she heard a noise. I turned on the light to see what it was. I then preceeded to the bathroom to check out if the noise was from there. She started screaming as the rat jumped down from the dresser and ran down the hall towards the bathroom. I started screening and then the rat turned around and ran under the bed. The front desk service was called. We waited on our bed for 45 min. No one showed up. I personally went to the lobby to see if I could get someone to check out the room. Finally after a long drawn out process someone came. He checked everything and said that there was nothing, the rat was not there.
I had three more nights before we left for home. I didn't sleep very well after this. We were afraid of it, the rat, returning. The room stunk as well. Breathing was an issue because of the extreme stench of feces.
What a horrible holiday. Thanks sunwing for representing such a place.

Good resort, good food, friendly staff, the Haitian people speak French and English which helps a lot if you don't speak Spanish. We went with our 2yr old and it was great for small families with young children. The beach access isn't the greatest as they seem to be renovating and cutting down the trees. There's an excellent restaurant down the beach called Captain Cook. I highly recommend it if you like seafood. The weather was excellent and the sea water was blue 💙.

This hotel was surprisingly great for our family of six including two kids 8 and 10 years old. Despite all the bad reviews we read, this hotel has a lot to offer for a 4 star resort. The food is quite good with a big variety, we had an issue with rooms the first night and it was resolved the next day. Great location, service (bars and restaurants), staff very nice. The animation hands down, Francisco is the best charismatic and energetic guy I ever seen. I highly recommend this place, we are coming back here for sure.

Rooms were dated but clean. Staff just don't seem to care whether you're there or not. Very difficult to engage staff in the social aspect. Very reserved. Grounds were picturesque, and super clean . Food left much to be desired. Repetitive, mostly lukewarm to cold. One day you'll have good coffee, the next, either mud or dishwater. I was disappointed.
