​We booked Vinpearl Resort Nha Trang specifically to celebrate a birthday, genuinely hoping for a special, luxurious, and relaxing getaway. Unfortunately, what we got was an imitation of luxury devoid of any hospitality, with 4-star dated facilities and a service operating at a 3-star level at best. We essentially gave up and just felt trapped on an island. ​Things started off well at the mainland terminal, as the facility looked great and staff were everywhere. Strangely, they required face biometrics just to operate turnstiles and check you in for meals, which felt unnecessary and only slowed things down. The turnstiles were clearly not meant for luggage, resulting in some awkward and comical maneuvering to get our bags through while trying to scan our faces. We would have used their luggage transfer service, but we were told it would take an hour. Not wanting to wait around, we hauled our own bags onto the speedboat and then onto electric carts that were only designed for passengers. Once at the actual hotel, we had to go through a second check-in where we were simply handed keys and pointed toward the dining area, with zero explanation of the resort's facilities or meal times. ​We had booked a Garden View room, but we ended up looking out over the driveway entrance and a conference room, with no garden in sight. While the room was spacious and quiet as we had requested, it felt tired, dated, and in need of a refurbishment. To add to the issues, the shower flooded during use. When we asked to switch to the view we actually booked, the front desk claimed they were full. Their only solutions were to either move us two floors up directly next to a room undergoing active maintenance, or to charge us a discounted upgrade fee for a sea view the following day. We passed on both. ​Credit where it is due: the buffet food was decent quality, and the kitchen staff did a good job of keeping the options stocked. Don't expect too much of a variety. The dining room itself was a chaotic free-for-all just to find a clean table on our first night. A few staff members tried their best, but most seemed untrained, overwhelmed, and like they simply did not want to be there. Breakfast and lunch were more of a pleasant experience. ​On a much brighter note, the physical grounds are lovely. The beach was wonderful, and the pool area never felt busy or overcrowded, which we really appreciated. ​Unfortunately, getting drinks at that pool was a hassle. You cannot just open a tab at check-in with a credit card; you have to pay per drink or leave a 1,000,000 VND deposit on your room at reception. While it is not the biggest deal, it is annoying to have to bring a credit card or cash to the pool. To make matters worse, the cocktails were poor. We felt bad for the lone, overwhelmed bartender who was trying to juggle multiple orders while simultaneously instructing his coworker on basic service. Additionally, not having complimentary drinking water available outside of meal times felt incredibly cheap for a resort claiming to be high-end. ​Getting basic information was a constant struggle. Asking reception for something as simple as the ferry schedule or how to rent a bike turned into a confusing ordeal. They would ask for our room number, stare at a computer, and call over multiple colleagues just to answer a basic question. Renting that bike turned out to be a mistake, too. It was poorly maintained, had barely functioning brakes, and unsurprisingly got a puncture. To their credit, they did refund the rental price after some protest. The check-out process was efficient and the shuttle transfer and boat service was slick. ​All in all, it was a really strange and disappointing experience for a birthday trip. Despite a beautiful beach and good food, there are clear upper-management issues regarding staff training and how the resort operates. If you want a seamless, luxury hospitality experience, this is not it. Spend your money elsewhere and certainly avoid this island trap.

I’d like to send my truly appreciation to whom looked after my husband when he was sick / your whole team are amazing God blessed 😇 Secondly, a special thanks for Mrs Huyen to try her best to accomodate us during high peak season Your F&B team should be well recognized for your beautiful food and service We know it’s not an easy job for you guys but you guys always try your best I have a little problem which I should address it to you. Please make customers to queue up while they are waiting for buggy bus, first come first serve, because it’s not fair for early birds get pulled off their lines by other aggressive customers ( elders or ones are rushed to airport) At buffet dinner. It’s better for us when coordinating staff insist customers tables It’s annoying for solo travel can not leave your belongs at your tables to grab the food as after you leave for food, someone will steal your seats

This resort is absolutely amazing. Everything from the organization of transport to the island down to the service in the restaurants and bars. Every single person is friendly and helpful. We loved our time here so much that we decided to extend our stay as well. I highly recommend you come here for any type of vacation. They have extensive facilities for children and families as well as plenty of options for romantic evenings. I will be back to Vinpearl Resort without a doubt. I'm a customer for life 🙂 all the restaurants on the resort are also delicious. We tried the set menu for Valentine's day at the Chinese restaurant and we were blown away by the quality of food and the quality of service. Once again everybody went above and beyond. First arriving at the resort, the service was amazing. Receptionist name Mai Nhi helped us settle in and was exceptionally friendly and patient with us. Gave us guidance to the resort. Would highly recommend to friends and family to come.

I love this place so much, especially the Bach Giai restaurant. I like the atmosphere of the restaurant. The waiters were very friendly. I’d like to come back here soon❤️
