The hotel setting and rooms are breathtaking. We stayed at one of the large villas with private pool, kitchen, dining area and living room. Everything was well appointed and perfect in every way, I wish we could have spent more time at the resort! The service was warm and friendly. The breakfast was delicious. We had dinner in the ancient cave restaurant with an excellent Viognier (with grapes grown and bottled on Santorini) Any request was graciously accommodated. Wish I could give it 6 stars.

We stayed at Vedema as part of our honeymoon trip and it beat our expectations. From the outside, the hotel is deceiving, but once you enter it felt like a whole village itself. The traditional yet modern design of the facilities is breathtaking, and everything is kept extremely clean. We had only positive experiences with any staff member we encountered or helped us. You are given WhatsApp for communicating with staff 24/7 and they were always quick to respond. The complimentary breakfast was delicious, the best feta I had in Greece. The location is perfect, in a smaller, more traditional village that is less crowded than Fira or Oia but still easily drivable. The staff even parked our car and got our car for us anytime we needed. Overall 5/5 experience and highly recommend Vedema!

We spent four nights at Vedema for my fiancée’s birthday. We had high hopes-it’s a Luxury Collection property, after all - and even got a confirmation from the concierge that they were aware of the occasion and would arrange something special. Nothing ever happened. No note, no amenity, no acknowledgment at all. Service was hit-or-miss throughout. We weren’t given the upgrade we were entitled to (as Marriott elite members), and only after following up twice were we moved - more than a day into the stay. Communication over WhatsApp was slow and vague at times, and when the power went out in our room for nearly an hour, it took multiple calls to get someone to come, with no apology after. On the last day, we requested late checkout, which was granted - but instead of keeping us in the same room or at least something similar, we were moved to the most basic room they had. Our request to have a pool room for the final few hours was just ignored. Again, no explanation. We also had to ask to have a restaurant discount applied that should’ve been automatic. What really left a bad taste was the response from the hotel manager after the fact. Rather than owning any of it, the reply was defensive and even inaccurate (they claimed there was no record of the birthday, despite their own team having confirmed it by email). It came across like they just wanted to shut down the complaint rather than actually listen. We’ve stayed at several other Luxury Collection hotels that felt truly thoughtful and polished. This didn’t. Disappointing overall, and not a place I’d recommend.

We loved Vedema!!! Staff was so friendly, accommodating, and helpful. Our room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable. Highly reccomend booking the Aegean suite or higher for the whirlpool on balcony / patio. Breakfast included with stay, and drinks + other foods poolside were all 10/10 as well. Good location with dining within a walk. Loved this place.

What a hidden gem! When I first booked, I was a struggling with being inland; but our family was enchanted by the quaint village. But the real star of this resort is the staff! They are so welcoming and most accommodating. We had extraordinary experiences with Christina, Vasilias, and Kureakos.
