A great hotel in a fantastic location. The best of both worlds! A stones throw to the beach a nd on the strip for bars and restaurants. We stayed in a junior suite with a sea view. A very spacious room which had a large bathroom with rainfall shower and free standing bath. Nice balcony, sitting area and tea and coffee making facilities. We travelled in April so quite but weather was lovely and lots to do. The adult area of the hotel had individual Cabannas and lots of sun loungers. A good bar with very friendly staff. The drinks and snacks were great! All staff at the hotel were fantastic, friendly and helpful. They all work very hard. Food okay only downside the food labels were a bit hit and miss and vegetable options somtimes had meat in. Breakfast lots of options and probably our favourite. on leaving we had a late flight but being able to have the courtesey room for half an hour with shower fresh towels and toiletries was perfect! A good all round hotel where the staff make your holiday!

Me and my partner has just come back yesterday we stayed in a suite room.4106 and it was beautiful. The staff were so friendly and our room was cleaned everyday and she was lovely and helpful. The pool area was huge and always beds available. All inclusive package was amazing and lots of different foods to try. All the staff in the restaurant couldn't do enough for you. Entertainment was varied and even did discos for the young ones. Amazing atmosphere and 2 minutes away from the strip. We love protarus and visit regular and we will definitely be booking here again. Thank you all so much you all work so hard and we are very grateful. Rebecca and Tom

Amazing 10 days at the Vangelis Hotel. Room very smart and comfortable, spacious and very clean. Had very fussy eaters with us and had no problems finding them loads to eat every day. Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner quality was excellent, staff polite and hardworking. Always found us a large family table within minutes. Adults only pool was brilliant, not one occasion did we see any children in this pool and always sunbeds whatever time of day you went. Snack bar by pool was superb, plenty of chips, pizza, sandwiches and burgers. Tried the spa a couple of times and such a relaxing experience. Hotel 5 minutes walk to best beach I've ever been on, gorgeous sand and crystal clear sea. Boys played tennis ever night before our evening walk down the town to watch Micheal Jackson, Freddie Mercury, and Bon Jovi amongst others. Town very busy but great atmosphere, no trouble and felt very safe. Overall an amazing holiday, already booking again for next year.

Been Protaras several times first time here at vangelis. Great location, check in was slow as was only one member of staff on reception. Rooms clean and spacious , bathroom was tired but was decent size. We Went all inclusive, 4 adults and 3 kids, 2 x rooms . The food was good but not a lot of choice each evening, breakfast was plenty but again not much fruit Choice and very same each day. The pool was clean, no sun bed wars as life guards remove towels in a morning on unattended beds which is great! The staff and people are all friendly can’t do enough for You. Right on the strip and a short 3 min walk to the beach! Had a great time kids made loads of friends! In all probably a 4 star hotel quality of drink and food variety lets it down. Wouldn’t go all inclusive to this hotel again as there is a wash of pubs bars and restaurants on the strip, and as said not much variety in the restaurant. The entertainment team were nice people and always had plenty of energy around the place. Overall I enjoyed my holiday, kids made plenty of friends, and Protaras is a beautiful place.

Came back on Sunday from this Hotel and had a mixed stay if I’m honest. The food, Breakfast was always more than adequate, always lots of options, which you would expect from a 4 star Hotel. However a man had an hash brown, to which the middle of it was still frozen 😮 Lunch wasn't too bad either, always seemed plenty to choose from and eat. The snack bar I didn’t use, but there were complaints that’s the burgers weren’t cooked properly. Evening meals I really did struggle with the themed nights and most things were very much the same type of dishes. The chicken I found very chewy and after having it, I didn’t again. We also had to eat out a couple of times and one time I ended up having chicken nuggets and chips for tea. Not what I was expecting from this hotel. The drinks are unbranded drinks, so be aware you have to pay extra for branded drinks, again I thought this was very disappointing, although I was given a few complimentary drinks after voicing my opinion regarding the matter. We did eat at the a la carte restaurant, which was very nice, the pizza a lot more tasty, along with a very nice burger and local cuisine of an orange cake and ice cream. The pool are was nice, but whilst playing polo I think it was I did tried on a lose tile, which nearly cut my foot, there happened to be two lose tiles and I pulled them out the water and gave them to a staff member, they wasn’t repaired throughout my stay. I think allocating sun-beds would be better than having a free for all in a morning too. The stairs leading towards the outside toilets could do with being resined, rather than tiles, I witnessed a young woman for a few steps down them due to the slippy tiles. The room was lovely, clean and had a great view out to sea, the cleaner was a lovely lady, who made sure our room was kept immaculate throughout our stay, with fresh towels daily. The entertainment was ok, just repeated weekly, so if you stayed more than a week, you saw it more than one time, definitely something that needs to be changed! There were a team of 4 that worked hard every day to do things with the kids and adults, who I found were very friendly and tried hard to involve everyone in activities. The staff in general were fantastic, helpful and polite. A big shout out to Alex, he was always helpful and both he and his staff were fantastic. I did find the general manager full of broken promises, for he wouldn’t do anything about the drinks, after saying he would. He did see me a day or so later, shook my hand, but gave no explanation for his decision not to serve branded drinks. I’ve given this a 3 star review based on the issues around the food, unbranded drinks and broken tiles in the swimming pool, I would stay here again, if these issues were addressed and or as a bed and breakfast option. It was very busy though also. I’m not trying to put anyone off this hotel, just give my honest opinion of things. Like I said in the review there are lots to like, but a few things that need addressing. These things not only said by myself, but others also!
