The hotel had a great theme and the dining area was great. The cafeteria food was very good and not too overpriced. It was priced for a resort. The refillable cups were an amazing deal. The free transportation to the parks was wonderful. We had one issue with the room that was promptly taken care of. The text option to talk to guest services was easy and efficient. It was also great to take pictures with characters in the hotel. The free luggage service and ship items from park to hotel worked great and is much appreciated. The tube purchase and swap for a closed one is a great system. I loved being able to charge my credit card with the room key. We were extremely happy with our whole experience.

Love the location, hotel has a lot to offer. Restaurants are pricey, you only get one pillow per person, bath towels are worn and holey....but wow, the view of the volcano and waterfall from building 6 view rooms are amazing! Loved being close to the water park, early entry, and the shuttle to Universal Studios/etc was quick and easy. Despite my complaints below, we will be back because of the location and the view if we're lucky enough to get a view room at a good price. Everything to do onsite is at park prices. I wish they could be more affordable for bowling/pool/food/etc. I don't want to feel like I'm inside the park when I'm in for the night. We chose to drive 8 min away to get all our meals or brought food with us. I just can't justify spending over $100 per meal for every meal, plus all the money we already spend inside the park. Small fridge in room was handy, no microwaves though. They could fix that by adding one by each ice machine. Bring your own tubes for the lazy river or spend $17, bowling is $20 per person per game plus shoe rental.

Cabana Bay has become a favorite for me and my kids — this will be our fourth stay. Once we get there, we really don’t feel like we have to leave for anything. Check-in is easy, the staff is kind, and everything feels relaxed and simple. I love floating the lazy river, the kids always head straight for the water slide, and it’s nice knowing there’s an arcade, a bowling alley, and movies by the pool if we want to do more without leaving the resort. We always stop at the Hideaway Bar by the lazy river for nachos — we’ve made it kind of a tradition. (One mom to another, the cocktails are delicious too!) The shuttle makes getting to the parks really easy, and last time we even caught a surprise character pop-up in the lobby, which made the night extra fun. It’s just an easy place to relax and enjoy time together. Highly recommend for families. See you soon, Cabana Bay!

Everything you need in location right beside the water park. Staff is amazing. My only complaint is the buildings need a little more signage to find rooms and our water was a little cold the first morning. However, everything else was fine! Go see Cody at Swizzle for the best drinks and the food was delicious from everywhere we ate. Definitely worth staying here.

Loved my stay here around the fourth of July! The pool area was lovely and the lazy river is a great hotel feature. All staff were kind and helpful plus the text feature for asking questions or more towels was a big plus. My questions were always answered within the hour and more towels were delivered when I asked. Another big pro was the Malt Shoppe where you could get ice cream or malts until 12 am. The malts could be any flavor of ice cream they had or for extra could become adult malts. The rooms had a little cosmetic damage on the furtinture. Otherwise the room was in good condition and I had no issues.
