Universal's Cabana Bay Beach Resort

This was our first time staying at Cabana Bay and I would highly recommend it to anyone planning a trip to Universal. We had a quick check in process, easy access to our prepaid park tickets, friendly staff everywhere we went, and not a complaint about our room. The beds were comfy and the room was well kept. When we needed extra coffee pods or etc it was dropped off to our room in no more than 20 min. The pool area was fantastic! W loved our pool area so much that we didn’t even venture over to the other pool. The hottub was big enough even on the busiest nights. The lazy river was icing on the cake! It was relaxing and very enjoyable. Lifeguards we saw doing training every morning which was reassuring. The food options were also great. Many meals were made right there on the spot which meant you may wait a few minutes but I would rather have it made fresh. The only downside we encountered was that some of the food in the cooler areas were outdated and did alert the person nearest and they said they would let the chef know. The gift shop had great necessities along with cute souvenirs. We definitely utilized the refillable drink mugs on the stay.

My first time staying at Cabana Bay and I really enjoyed it! I took my son for 4 nights and we did three days at the Universal Parks. The shuttle bus was very convenient and you rarely had to wait more than 10 minutes to get from point A to point B. The hotel itself is kept extremely clean and fresh looking. The rooms are a bit small I had ordinary to Queen bedroom but it was adequate. Each pool is unique and the water extremely warm for February. Each pool also had its Bar and Grill which was extremely convenient and as many clean towels as you need! the main dining room is cafeteria style and there's a lot of good selections the prices are high so the rumors are true. They have one restaurant upstairs in the bowling alley which I ate at one night and the food was very good. Unfortunately there were no open bowling lanes that night so we had to come back a different day. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful especially the luggage stand very accommodating If I come back to Universal I will definitely come back and stay here!

Our stay at Cabana Bay Beach Resort exceeded all of my expectations. As a mom of three and a travel agent, I pay attention to every detail when visiting a resort, and Cabana Bay truly delivered an amazing experience for my family. From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. I want to give a very special thank you to Lakayla at the front desk, who went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. Her kindness, professionalism, and willingness to help made a huge difference for us. The hotel itself is perfect for families. My kids had an incredible time enjoying everything the resort offers. The atmosphere is fun, vibrant, and very family-friendly. Another highlight was the character appearances in the lobby on the weekend, which was such a magical surprise for the kids. Seeing those moments made the stay even more memorable. The food options were also very good, and I was pleasantly surprised that the prices were very reasonable and accessible for families, which is something I always look at when recommending resorts to my clients. As a travel agent who visits many resorts and recommends hotels to families, I can confidently say that Cabana Bay is an excellent option for anyone visiting Universal Orlando. The value, service, and experience make it a fantastic choice. We loved it so much that we even decided to extend our stay an extra night! Highly recommend for families, couples, and anyone wanting to stay inside the Universal Orlando Resort area. Thank you Cabana Bay — and especially Lakayla — for making our stay unforgettable.

This is both of my kid's favorite hotel of all time. We've stayed here several times and they still ask to return (age range 5-13). The hotel is HUGE and has lots to explore -- it may even be better than the theme parks! Our #1 favorite amenity is the lazy river. This may not be the longest lazy river in Orland (we've been to many - I should start a lazy river guide) but it is the most relaxed, with very attentive life guards (many hotels in Florida DO NOT have lifeguards) and you can bring your own flotation device (note: they provide free air to blow up your own and/or you can purchase several types on site). The cafeteria style restaurant is actually good! With healthy choices and a large enough menu to try new things over several days here. But if you do get bored, you can cross the street and try the restaurants at the other Universal hotels. And shout out to the front desk staff (hi Kate!) who were super helpful and friendly. We had a lot of requests (i.e. early check in, needed band-aids) and the staff went above and beyond to help us out. We also really appreciate the Florida resident discount :)

I give this resort 5 stars! The service was truly top tier. We originally came for the parks, but I could easily see myself staying at the resort and just enjoying everything it has to offer. The vibe here is so unique and relaxing. The service throughout the resort was excellent. The ladies in the gift shop were incredibly sweet and welcoming, which really stood out. The food was also amazing. We actually chose to eat breakfast and dinner here all week because there were so many options, and everything was fresh and delicious. My family and I are sad to be leaving, but we will definitely be back. I highly recommend this resort to anyone reading this review!
