This hotel was incredible! The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The cafe in the hotel serves very good food at very reasonable prices. The pool, although a little too shallow for my liking, was perfect! It was never too crowded because it's a huge pool. We had 5 people in a two room suite and it was so nice. It didn't feel cramped at all. Very clean and modern feeling with convenient accommodations for what we needed. And the best part was the price. We paid around $600 for 3 nights which isn't bad at all. They have shuttles that take you to the parks that run every 10-15 minutes from 7AM - 1AM. The shuttles do get a little crowded when the parks close but throughout the day there is always seating available. I would definitely stay at this hotel again whenever we go back to the Universal parks.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Surfside! Our family suite was perfect for our group, offering plenty of space and amenities. We especially appreciated having three beds, a private bedroom, and two sinks - it made getting ready in the mornings so much easier. The kitchenette and full picnic-style table were fantastic for meals, giving us the flexibility to dine in when we wanted. While our room didn't have a direct theme park view, we were thrilled to catch glimpses of the distant Universal and Islands of Adventure theme parks and, even better, enjoy the fireworks lighting up the sky at night! We can't wait to come back.

Great place to stay when going to Universal Orlando parks. Rooms where nice and clean and AC worked really well. The shuttles were a huge benefit, you can get to the parks early and come back late. The ride over to the parks is only several minutes, so that was pretty nice too. The little cafe/restaurant had a wide variety of foods and the food was good. Would definitely stay again if we are ever out that way!

During our recent stay at this hotel, We encountered significant issues that reflected poorly on both staff professionalism and accessibility for guests with special needs. Check-In Process: The check-in process was extremely slow and frustrating, with only two or three desks open at a time, resulting in wait times of 45–60 minutes and lines often 20–30 people deep. Reception staff appeared overwhelmed and disengaged, possibly due to the laborious steps required to check in each guest. Key Card Incident: Midway through our stay, the hotel changed the locks on all rooms and cancelled every guest's key card without prior notice. This left all guests stranded outside their rooms, forced to queue again for re-check-in and show identification—often inaccessible since it was locked in their rooms. Guests without immediate access to ID had to wait to be let into their rooms, then return to the line, with total wait times reaching up to two hours. The staff were completely overwhelmed, and management was nowhere to be seen. No apologies or clear ownership of the situation were provided. Although we were offered a partial refund for the inconvenience upon checkout, four weeks have passed without receipt of this compensation. Meanwhile, charges for parking and extras were processed promptly. Disabled Access and Support: During the key card incident, our severely disabled teenager was unable to access essential medication and personal care supplies in our room. During this situation reception staff and management offered no assistance. In addition to this the Disabled (blue badge) parking, typically free in the UK, was charged at full price for the duration of our two-week stay totalling serval hundred dollars. Transportation Issues: We relied on the shuttle bus daily and, on one occasion, arrived early for early access to Volcano Bay admission. However, the bus marshal denied us entry, prioritizing able-bodied groups and overriding drivers' efforts to board us. This resulted in an hour-long delay, and, upon arrival, all accessible seating was taken. Guest Services suggested renting a cabana for several hundred dollars as an alternative. Post-trip, the hotel responded to my email with a generic offer of fast passes, but provided no explanation or commitment to resolving these accessibility or service failures. Overall Impression: These experiences highlighted a lack of care and respect for guests, particularly those with disabilities. The hotel appeared more focused on profit than hospitality, providing minimal assistance, accessibility, or accountability. I strongly advise against staying here, especially if you have special needs or value attentive service during your holiday. --- Recommendation: Avoid this hotel if you expect reasonable service, accessibility, or empathy as a guest. Our experience was disappointing and fell short of both industry standards and basic customer care.

It was great. The only thing I will say I was surprised there was no jacuzzi and they did not have upgrades available for rooms. We had the 2-bedroom suite. I thought the second room would be similar in size but it was smaller and the closet was tiny as well. We only stayed the weekend but I could only imagine if you had multiple suitcases. Where would you put them? They had only two types of rooms and what we got was the best that you could get. The food was amazing though. The best food out of all the places we went to at Universal Studios.
