Our stay at Unico Hotel Riviera Maya was wonderful from start to finish. The staff really make the experience, everyone is so attentive and welcoming. From check-in to checkout, we felt well taken care of. The bartenders by the pool were some of our favorites, always smiling, quick to make a drink, and fun to chat with. The activities team also deserves credit, they kept things entertaining with games and music but never made it feel overwhelming. The food was good throughout the restaurants, with a nice variety of options, and the service during meals was excellent. Everything felt fresh. We especially appreciated how the staff went out of their way to remember little details and check in to see if we needed anything. The beach was honestly our favorite part. It’s beautiful, clean, and perfect for relaxing. Walking along the shore in the morning was such a peaceful way to start the day. The pools were also great, clean, well-maintained, and we never had an issue finding chairs or a good spot to relax. The rooms are comfortable and spacious, with thoughtful touches that make you feel at home. Everything was kept very clean, and housekeeping did a great job. The overall atmosphere of the hotel is stylish but still very warm. We'll definitely come back!

What a, wonderful hotel. Great attention to details, well maintained property, great restaurants. We had a few issues in the room and they were a addressed same day with great care. It's a shame there is no view on the beach/sea from the property (unless on a high floor) and the beach area is non existent. Just for a walk. The pools are big and many but we found they could be cleaner. Restaurants are good organized with reservations system and we enjoyed all of them with a nice variety of dishes and great service. There is moderate animation throughout the day, and almost none at night. Definitely not a party resort which was just what we wanted.

Overall good experience at this resort with excellent service being the standout feature for me. My room showed signs of aging but I must say it was clean and housekeeping kept it looking good throughout our stay. Food variety at the on site restaurants (dinner reservations required) was just enough for our 5-night stay, and many meal options were delicious. Be sure to save some room for the amazing desserts also. I would’ve appreciated knowing ahead of time that not all restaurants were open on all days rather than walking over to find them closed for breakfast or lunch. On this visit, seaweed had taken over the beach so we spent time at the pools which were fun/engaging or quiet/relaxing depending on the choice of pool area.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Honeymoon Disappointment – Truly Heartbreaking Experience My wife and I absolutely love Mexico and have spent the last five years visiting various resorts, both big and small. We’ve always praised the country for its warmth, hospitality, and top-tier customer service—which is why we chose it without hesitation for our honeymoon in November 2024. Unfortunately, this trip was a huge letdown and has left us questioning whether we’ll return to Mexico at all, which is heartbreaking given how much we love it. We booked this luxury resort and even paid for the upgraded swim-out room expecting a special experience, especially for such a meaningful occasion. But from the moment we arrived, the customer service was practically nonexistent. No one seemed to acknowledge or care that we were celebrating our honeymoon, and the attentiveness we’re used to in Mexico was completely missing. To make matters worse, we were turned away from dining at the Japanese restaurant simply because we were walk-ins—even though we were guests and it wasn’t fully booked. We were instead seated at the sushi bar and told we could only order sushi. No effort was made to accommodate us or make the moment feel special. We’ve never left a negative review about a resort in Mexico before—never had a reason to. But this experience was so far below what we’ve come to expect and love about traveling here that it genuinely shook us. It felt cold, impersonal, and far from the honeymoon trip we had been dreaming of.

This resort is amazing! If your treating yourself to a message request Marlene you wont be disappointed. Wish they had a little more evening entertainment with Spanish music. They play too much American music at the pool side. The Concergie treatment is excellent. If you want nothing but relaxation this is the resort. The beach was full of Seaweed so could not enjoy it. Other than that resort is top notch.
