I stayed here for 4 days with my fiancé. The grounds are meticulously maintained, pools are nice, and also thought the room was nice and large, except for some minor maintenance issues. The service was generally good, though I got very annoyed by a pushy staff member at check in trying to get us to attend a session where we would surely be sold things. I politely declined but she still pressed for us to attend. We loved laying by the pool, the pool service was good, and were very satisfied with the pool food. As typical, the pool drinks are very light on liquor. You have to know what to order. The biggest disappointment was the restaurants for dinner. We thought all the ones we tried were poor: Italian, Mexican, Japanese. I would have said the Japanese was OK, but we got food poisoning from there. The Italian pasta dish "carbonara" was pitiful and tasted like butter noodles. It was also too hard to get a reasonable reservation time for dinner. Also, when we had a reservation time, we still twice waited 15-30 minutes to be seated. We did like the concierge service via WhatsApp and Luis was very helpful throughout our stay. Overall, we enjoyed our time, but we won't be returning because of the dinner dining experience. I'm sure there are better options out there in the Caribbean at similar price point.

Absolutely gorgeous resort. Went there for our friends wedding and it was beautiful! I’ll start with the hospitality and guest services were very good. Everyone so friendly and helpful and took us immediately to our rooms and even leaving they made sure we had the right travel group van. Came straight to our room and it was absolutely gorgeous we had the swim up king. Room was very clean and beautiful. The pools here were awesome too quiet and loud pools for partying all available. We never went in the swim up but it was nice too. The restaurants were incredible, all of them. The breakfast buffet had so many selections and all of them incredible. The Italian spot our waiter was so friendly and nice and the food was so good. Only reason I’m giving this place 4/5 stars is because the room service for food is absolutely terrible. We ordered 6 times throughout our 4 day stay and it only came once haha. The one time it did come it was like a meal for a small child. It kinda became funny by the end cause it’s a complete toss up if you’re going to get anything.

This was my first experience at an all-inclusive resort and I cannot wait to go back. The staff is incredible. Every single person we interacted with seemed to truly enjoy working there. I really want to emphasize how much the staff contributed to making our stay special. Our "local host" was Karla, and I can't recommend her enough. She went out of her way to help us so many times. Overall the resort has a really relaxing atmosphere, but there's also a "party pool," if you're into that. We chose to do absolutely nothing but relax the entire week, but there are quite a few activities to keep you busy. The architecture, art, and overall aesthetic of the resort is gorgeous. It's full of Mexican and Mayan art and locally made furniture- It feels authentic and homey. I highly recommend getting a massage. We got a couple's massage and it was the best massage I've ever gotten in my life.

Dorlin, Antonio, Alex, and Eligio are absolute stars, and their service embodies what a 5-diamond resort is all about. From the moment we arrived at the pool, they made us feel like VIPs. Their energy, professionalism, and warm personalities brought the perfect balance of relaxation and fun to every day. No matter how busy it got, they always greeted us with genuine smiles and remembered our drink preferences. Often surprising us with creative new cocktails that quickly became favorites. They created an unforgettable experience that made the pool bar the heart of our vacation. UNICO is lucky to have such a dedicated, talented team, because of them, we can’t wait to return. My boyfriend and I had a blast at Unico 20 85. Everything here is exceptional and beyond our expectations. Unlimited yummy food and great booze. All staff members are friendly and have served us with a great service mind. The hotel is packed with activities all day, all night. What we enjoyed most included pool parties, aqua workout, aqua spinning, floating yoga, and late-night dancing at the lounge. I can say this is the best vacation resort for us, and we've planned to come back next year.
