A Stylish Stay That Misses the "Resort" Mark If you’re looking for a sleek, architecturally stunning base in Surin, Twinpalms Phuket certainly looks the part. However, depending on what you value in a tropical getaway, the reality might feel a bit more "metropolitan apartment" than "island paradise." The Vibe: Chic, but Lacks Soul While the hotel is technically a 5-star property, the atmosphere leans heavily toward upscale serviced apartments. The minimalist design and layout around a central pool are visually appealing, but it lacks the sprawling, open-air "holiday" feeling you expect from a luxury resort. It feels functional and private, but perhaps a little too clinical for a relaxing vacation. Location & Beach Access In theory, being at Surin Beach is a win. In practice, there are a few significant drawbacks: • No Sea Views: The clever landscaping and low-rise design mean you are tucked away from the ocean. You won’t be waking up to the sound of waves or a blue horizon. • The Beach Situation: Twinpalms does not have its own private beach. You have to cross a public road and a huge carpark to reach Surin Beach, which is entirely public. While the water is somewhat clear, the beach itself lacks the manicured exclusivity of other 5-star spots in Phuket like The Surin Resort. Dining & Amenities • The Spa (The Saving Grace): If there is one area where the hotel truly hits that 5-star mark, it’s the Palm Spa. The treatments are professional, the ambiance is serene, and it provides the genuine sense of relaxation that the rest of the property lacks. • Breakfast: Unfortunately, the morning spread is fairly average. It covers the basics, but for a 5-star rating, you'd expect more variety, local flair, and higher-quality artisanal options. • The Pool: The lap pool is the centerpiece of the property. It’s great for a serious swim, but again, the layout reinforces that "apartment complex" aesthetic rather than a tropical lagoon. Final Thoughts: Twinpalms is perfect for the traveler who wants a stylish, quiet "home base" and doesn't mind commuting to the sand. However, if you are looking for that classic, toes-in-the-sand tropical resort magic, this might feel a bit sterile.

I would love to give 5/5 but there are some points I can’t ignore. First of all the positive: - very fresh and good breakfast - hotelarea is really nice designed, nice pools and nice plans all around - service is outstanding 10/10 - very friendly, also the management was really good The problems we had been, that we could hear to whole night the aircon / machine outside. Even when we switched rooms it was the same. It’s really loud. Then in the first room we had no problems with smells, in the second room in the bathroom it smelled so badly from the tubes. I don’t know how this is possible and not fixible for them? I don’t want a bad smell for that price per night. For me, 2 major issues. Everything else was fantastic. So it’s hard for me to rate it. At the end I would probably book a different hotel until those points are fixed.

We were staying one night in Twinpalms Surin beach Phuket to celebrate our anniversary. The staff welcomed us friendly with some bracelets made of yasmin flowers and guided us to a room with a pool view. They have fruit hour included to hotel guests from 3 to 4pm every day and they have yoga available to book too. Hotel gym was high class gym with all the facilities such as sauna. Pool was free to use up until midnight which was really nice since the pool looks amazing during the night time.

The Twin Palms is a delight to stay at. I booked through luxury escapes and this package deal included food and drink vouchers, along with a massage voucher and a boat trip to an island. The staff are so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are beautiful. The pool is amazing. The daily buffet breakfast is also a highlight. 10/10 stay, would come here again, thank you Twin Palms

What a fabulous discovery. The Twin Palms Surin is easily one of the nicest hotels in the area! A lovely breakfast, a superb fitness centre and a 40 mtrs main pool! We also had access to our lagoon which was a step away from our balcony-super convenient! The staff are friendly and they have a shuttle from 11 am till midnight every hour to their twin restaurants on the beach-Catch & Lazy Coconut! Surin beach is a 3 mins walk across the road! The bars and restaurants outside the hotel are all nearby and walking distance! Many massage centres and supermarts are within minutes on foot! Very convenient and lovely for a couple on a romantic holiday or with friends/ family! Our only disappointment was the experience at Wagyu Steakhouse- unfriendly staff who are just there to sell you the most expensive steak which is also not worth the money! If there is gastronomic racism it was prevalent there! All in all a superb stay and we will be back here for sure!
