TUI BLUE Bahari Zanzibar – A Tropical Paradise Getaway Our stay at TUI BLUE Bahari Zanzibar was simply unforgettable — a perfect blend of luxury, relaxation, and authentic Zanzibari charm. The resort is beautifully set along a soft white sand beach, surrounded by lush tropical gardens and crystal-blue pools that make every morning feel like paradise.  🏖️ Location & Ambience Nestled right on Kiwengwa’s stunning beach, the resort feels like its own little village with quiet pathways, plenty of space to explore, and breathtaking sunrise views that are hard to put into words.  🍽️ Food & Dining With multiple restaurants and dining options, the food was varied, fresh, and consistently enjoyable. From international buffets to delightful themed nights and beachside grills, there was something for every palate.  🛏️ Rooms & Comfort Rooms are spacious, clean, and well-appointed, with lovely garden or pool views. Overall, the hotel is excellent: modern, clean, with very friendly and attentive staff. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, and the quality of the services and facilities is high. It is a perfect place to rest and unwind. It is important to note that there is a significant tide phenomenon on the beach. During low tide, the water retreats quite far, making swimming directly from the beach less suitable at those times. At high tide, however, the beach is beautiful and swimming is enjoyable. Apart from this natural condition, the place is almost perfect, especially for guests who appreciate quality, tranquility, and are aware of the local tidal changes.

I spent my year- end holiday (7/8D) at the Zanzibar Blue bahari Hotel. It all began with a warm greeting from Karin, who checked in, and I'm grateful to Ali and Safe, who always greeted me warmly at reception throughout my stay. All meals were included. I spent a significant portion of my time in the three themed dining zones, and I'm grateful to Hassan, the general manager, for his meticulous management and exemplary leadership. Salma's role was also crucial! Saimon, who oversaw the Italian restaurant, provided prompt and attentive service. (Can’t forget to mention Aiscia😉) The hotel is guarded by numerous security personnel, and I'm especially grateful to Samson, who treated both the Maasai people on the beach in front of the hotel and the hotel guests with respect. I'm grateful to them for their thoughtfulness, even beyond the hotel's facilities. I used two connected rooms, 2107 and 2108. The shower didn't drain properly, and the lights occasionally went out, leaving me without hot water. As a gym lover, I was able to exercise both indoors and outdoors. What made the Blue Bahari Hotel special was the staff who accepted all my feedback as points for improvement.

Not a True 5-Star – Manage Your Expectations We stayed at TUI Blue Bahari Zanzibar for 5 days expecting 5-star quality. It doesn’t deliver. The beach is the biggest issue — heavy seaweed and almost no water at low tide. You can only swim at high tide, which defeats the purpose of a beach resort. Service is inconsistent. A few staff are excellent (the Food & Beverage Manager was outstanding), but most were unhelpful. Hygiene was concerning — flies on food in the restaurants. Not 5-star. All-inclusive wasn’t fully available either — drinks we paid for were repeatedly “not available.” Kid’s food options were limited for a family resort. It looks good, but it’s not luxury. If you’re particular and expect real 5-star standards, this isn’t it.

This is a wonderful hotel with amazing facilities and staff. Our favourite restaurant was the Italian Andiamo restaurant. Full praise to our waitress on every occasion, Hilda. It was a fantastic class and we thoroughly enjoyed it x x x special thanks for amazing service from Helen in the restaurant and Fatima at the bar. James was always attentive and so friendly.
